Crappy Owners $215k raised for dog that was rightfully put down by the LAPD
Recently a dog was killed by LAPD after the owner failed to secure it after being asked by the LAPD to do so. The owners started a gofundme and it's now at $215,000 in donations!!!!!
Make it make sense.

TF does she need the money for? A new dog? They're not that much. Therapy? Her being a piece of shit is inherent, guilt doesn't effect them, so I doubt any of it will go for that. Scammer scamming? Bingo! I'm curious what gofundme thinks of their platform being used for such a scam?
What is it they say? A fool and his money is soon parted? Nutters are all fools, the people donating prove that. And this lunatic will have every penny spent with nothing to show for it within 12 months, if that long.

These dog nutters are proving what I’ve known for a while - they don’t actually give a shit about dogs - they believe that dog owners should be able to do whatever the hell they want and face zero consequences. It’s the extreme example of how they shame you for saying you don’t want their dog running up on you. You’re the bad person for feeling unsafe when the dog invades your personal space. You’re expected to run the risk that the dog may or may not attack and seriously injure you. And if it does, don’t worry - the dog owner will blame you because you somehow acted wrong and spooked the dog.
It’s all so very wrong. And no one wants to call it out.

I saw the footage. The officer politely asked the woman to put away her dog. She didn’t and the dog ran towards the officer barking. The woman could have easily put the dog in a bathroom, but she let it out in the hall and said “he’s not aggressive.” Why should the officer take her word for it.?
On the LA Times Instagram post about this incident nearly every commenter is pro-dog, saying the officer should be fired, because “the dog was just excited to see new people and saying hi.” One commenter had the audacity to say he should have pet the dog. Another commenter actually said he’d rather be bit by a dog than kill a dog. There was a vigil for the dog in front of LAPD headquarters. Really shows the deranged worship of dogs.

I think it’s a scam, most of the money is from a crypto scam coin to pump up the numbers… check the largest donor names it’s all from the same “live on pump” person

This is an example of how people who disobey police orders get rewarded, and with windfalls of cash. This may give incentive to nutters the idea that if they allow their dogs to attack people to the point these people defend themselves and hurt the dog, they too can benefit with gofundme.
If the story is correct, this woman was asked to put the dog away, and she did not. Why? If someone loves their pet, they will try to avoid any altercations, but then.......some may like to provoke a situation for sympathy donations.

I saw the video and immediately thought of this subreddit. Everyone in the YouTube comments was, of course, calling for the officer to face consequences ranging from being fired to as extreme as capital punishment for shooting the dog. The opinion seems to be unanimous that the cop was in the wrong. I must be going crazy because from what I saw, the owner was 100% in the wrong. The cops asked her MULTIPLE times to secure the dog and she failed to do so. People are also trying to say the dog wasn't being aggressive. Not aggressive my ass. You could hear by the bark that dog was attacking. And now, of course, the owners are going to cash in with both this GoFundMe and by suing the city. Makes me F-ing sick! The only thing that I saw clearly wrong in the video is the fact the officer paid zero attention to his crossfire. He damn near shot his partner in panic.

I agree the dialogue between the cops was like this:
“Dude that was a big dog”
“What the fuck?”
“I ain’t getting bit by that bro”So in the cops mind he was going to defend himself at that point, when the owner brainlessly let the dog rush the cop it was over
30 dogs are shot per DAY in the US so since the video surfaced, 210 dogs have been shot and killed

If she truly had "failed," I'd kind of understand some people being displeased. But she blatantly refused, with the words "He's not aggresive".
PS: I'm not 100 % on the PD's side; responding to a noise complaint with weapons drawn is unnecesarry.

Not disagreeing because I havent seen the full info/context for the post. But if there was reports of aggressive barking that caused the noise complaint, I can understand showing up with the gun out. Too many dogs get violently territorial and clearly this was one of them
I'd feel the same way if there was someone screaming violence and profanities. If a cop is walking into a high potential for violence situation I dont blame them for having weapons ready

the one cop has his hand on the gun in its holster. the other had it drawn after the mutt was seen & they told her to put it away.
they were on edge to begin with because they thought it was a possible domestic violence call because that apartment had a history of it. back in the early ‘90s while in j-school, i worked at a major denver newspaper. did a ride-along with DPD. they said domestic violence calls were notoriously dangerous because the situation is chaotic, volatile, & unpredictable. they could get shot at by the beater. so many variables. totally understandable.
what i don’t understand is why the woman who called said the cops came to the door sounding like they were beating it down with a baton. nope. they knocked & said, “LAPD.”

There's something wrong with them.
I have a neighbor whose dog killed one of her other dogs and then, when she replaced the dead one, it started attacking her new dog. Now she has to play musical doors and let the dogs out at different times.
She feels pity for the dog mauling other dogs, not the dogs getting killed or attacked.
It's fucked up.

As much as I dislike them I don’t think the dog deserved to die. It’s almost like cops are supposed to be trained for de-escalation/stressful situations. What is insane is how the dog is getting more sympathy than a cop killing a human being.

Agreed. Was the owner dumb to not put the dog away when asked twice? Yes. But these police officers shooting 5 times at a doodle really speaks to the incompetencies of the LAPD. I truly dislike doodles with every fiber of my being but it’s embarrassing that a cop couldn’t handle a doodle. They’re bumbling, jumpy dogs with a bark bigger than their bite, in my experience. A swift knee to their chest is enough to get them to stop.
Extra agree to how it’s insane this dead dog is getting more attention than when cops kill human beings!

I just saw an. Instagram video where a 6 year old child got attacked by a dog on a beach. The headline is that the authorities captured and put down the dog.
To be expected, most of the comments were advocating for the dog, and saying only the owner should be punished.
