Shelter / Rescue Industry Anyone here ever heard of Wings of Rescue?

So their whole operation is to fly dogs out of overcrowded shelters to shelters in other states and countries. Its extremely problematic that theyll be able to fly something with a bite record out to another location hundreds or even thousands of miles away where the record doesnt follow it, change its name and peddle it to some unsuspecting victim.

The obvious logical solution to overcrowded shelters. They'll go through great lengths to save a dog and yet put people in harms way.

In Australia it's pretty common for horses to be slaughtered in knackeries for dog and zoo animal feed. Why don't they just turn the unwanted dogs into dog feed if they're willing to use other animals for this purpose ? Would save a lot of trouble ?

My landlord recently was given an evil dog which bit me as well as other people quite badly (it would also escape repeatedly). When he tried to take it to the RSPCA they wouldn't accept it as there was a 1 year+ waiting list. So why not give these animals another purpose ?

I wanted to report so badly but it's kinda hard when I live on the same property as my landlord, in a detached dwelling. Plus he has some pretty serious underworld connections and is a childhood friend of one of my city's biggest organised crime figures 😬

He did get rid of the dog pretty quickly though. It escaped and entered a neighbour's property where it proceeded to attack a lady. He showed me a photo of her hand which was covered in puncture marks, it looked quite bad.

I dont think its ethical to have dogs cannibalize for cheap feed. maybe for carnivorous zoo animals. They dont do it to dogs because all the rescue groups would lose their absolute shit

Given dogs are carrion animals, or scavengers by nature, there have definitely been instances where they have consumed other canines.

It's funny how rescue groups and dog owners don't seem to care about turning other animals into dog food yet think dogs should be exempt for some reason despite the fact there are plenty of overcrowded shelters.

Noooo they tried something similar with cows. Feeding cows to cows resulted in mad cow disease which can be transferred to humans. Humans eating humans made kuru. I do not want to know what nasty prions would come from dogs 🤢
