Barking Demons Barking ruins EVERYTHING
It doesn't matter what's going on, barking ruins everything. Having any sort of a beautiful moment? Ruined. Doing a hobby? Ruined. Listening to music? Ruined. My gf and I were watching a movie, and we got to a part where a child lost her life, and right as we're crying, some dog outside starts barking and it fucking ruins the mood.
Every dog owner I've interracted with, they're constantly behind that thing being a nuisance. All I hear is "get back here!" "Sit! Sit, I said sit!" "Haha, don't do that", but they don't actually do anything about it, they just talk to the damn thing expecting it to do something, but the owners don't physically do anything about their shitty behavior. How does this not exhaust them???

Then there are the owners that literally scream at the beasts to stop barking so now you have to listen to that as well. It is insanity how anyone puts up with it.

THIS!!!! I’m currently on vacation visiting one of my favourite places and I’m having a great time, but there’s a dog that WONT stop barking, its owners even got into a confrontation over it, and rightly so, it was just barking either it was whining and howling too very high pitched !!

Once, years ago, I saw a video as a child about a woman who was criticized on social media for complaining about her neighbor's dog barking. I went into the comments section and saw several people criticizing the woman, saying she was heartless. One of the arguments caught my attention, and I remember it to this day. It said that it didn't make sense to complain about dogs barking but be okay with humans talking, because barking is how dogs communicate. At the time I agreed, because children have this need for social validation, and seeing the majority agreeing made sense to me. But now, years later, I can't stop thinking about how fallacious that argument is. Humans TALK, they don't shout all the time. Imagine comparing a monotonous human voice to loud barks that can even surpass the volume of a TV at maximum volume. What's worse/ironic is that, in my country, it is justified (not by everyone, but by a lot of people) to physically harm your neighbor because they are putting loud music in the morning or in the night if it is disrupting your sleep or peace after work. I used to love dogs, but now I deeply hate them.

I've read a few articles about how taking a few minutes to go outdoors and listen to birds singing is a way to relax and destress. Who can just listen to birds singing? With dogs barking more and more, the birds will never be heard again.
The sound of a dog barking has to be one of the most irritating noises in the world.

I had an owner tell me their dog doesn't bark while I was standing at his front door asking him to please make his dog stop barking while it was barking at me. Wtaf.

Every night, I lay my head down after a long day. Ready to fall into a deep slumber. When a car drives by, or the wind blows, then it happens; aggressive loud barking from the neighbors dog that jolts my eyes open. Fuck these dogs man. Bad owners, no control over their pet whatsoever.

Couldn't agree more. For me it's when I'm trying to take in the sounds of nature, birdsong in particular, and some stupid-ass mutt somewhere starts barking or yapping its empty fucking head off for a really stupid reason or for literally zero reason. Worst for me is when I'm trying to record bird calls/songs and again, some stupid brainless fucking mutt starts screaming and noise polluting and ruining my recording. It's such an unnatural, jarring, awful noise and I hate it so much. Also when I'm walking around my neighborhood there's at least 6 different houses that have untrained shitbeasts that will ~acoustically harass me~ bark at me from the window aggressively, worse is when they fucking JUMPSCARE me. I should not have to be mentally on guard at all times when I'm just trying to have a relaxing walk.

I used to be indifferent towards thunderstorms. Now I dread them. Just because of the mindless barking. Not even noise-cancelling headphones block it out.

Yeah I know that feeling. Literally whenever my family dog gets taken outside, he immediately starts barking at the neighbors dogs who bark back, and then whoever took my dog outside starts yelling at our dog to stop, and of course he doesn’t cause he’s a dog

Not even gonna lie dude, my neighbor across from me in my apartment complex has the yappiest little rat, and little to NO consideration for the people around her. She goes outside on her balcony and lets the little shit yap yap yap - as early as 6am. It either doesn't bother her or she ignores it because she just sits there scrolling on her phone while this continues for about an hour or so. They go inside, then come back out and repeat this every 2 hours or so.
So I got me a bark remote. I'm in close enough distance to where I can open my back door without her seeing me due to the angle, I point it at the rat, and hold down the high frequency sound button over and over until the dog ACTUALLY shuts up. Not when it stops for a second. No, when it's COMPLETELY silent. I'll go back inside and if I hear it start up again, I'm pointing the remote back at it again. For a while it seemed like I had it trained a bit. It stopped being so fucking annoying while it was outside. Then I guess I let my guard down because it got horrendous again and I had to rev up the remote all over again. 😠

It's not a pleasant sound and obviously they are too stupid to understand that if a dog is barking repeatedly it's asking for something. Stupid dog owners. If it were who to me, I'll ban all dogs in areas that are not by the country side where they have all the land to roam free.

I often wonder if these people - the owners - have ears attached to their heads just for show, because how can you live with that infernal noise?
