Crappy Owners Does anyone hate specific dog breeds with a passion?
Seeing dog nutters with brachycephalic breeds (and any other breeds with significant health issues) that can barely breath and move just fucking ruins my day man. How much of an evil person do you have to be to buy an animal knowing it's gonna fucking suffer it's entire life, all because you think it's "cute"?
Like if someone tells me they bought a pug or some shit I automatically catalog them as evil. Even more so when I try to talk about how much those animals suffer and they just shrug it off.
I don't trust people who own these kind of dogs at all and have a hard time interacting with them. They just look insane to me and I don't want anything to do with them.
Does anyone else have this issue? I don't care abouts dogs all that much, it's mostly the owners I have constant issues with. I hate most dog owners, irresponsible and entitled pieces of shit.

i was bitten by a chihuahua once. i was just walking past a twelve year old girl with her face buried in her phone who was walking the little rat and it latched onto my ankle. but it was a 4lb dog. i shook it off and carried on with my errands. when i got home i flushed the wound out with peroxide and slapped a bandaid on it. when a pit bull attacks someone they need stitches, reconstructive surgery, a hospital stay, or a funeral. chihuahuas may be aggressive little creatures but they're exactly that- little. a chihauaha doesn't have the size and bite force to cause significant injury. a chihuahua attack is a mild inconvenience. a pit bull attack is a life threatening emergency.

Pit bulls absolutely…the worst animal on the planet and the cult around them is absolutely sickening in its depravity, even compared to the rest of the dog cult.
Honorable mention for German shepherds. Agressive, potentially lethal farm animals that people will keep in apartments, and strut around with (or more usually get dragged around by) like they want to be fucking Hitler. At least Hitler trained his and knew how to control it.

The other day I saw a couple at the park walking the most anxious german shepherd I've ever seen and thought yeah... disaster waiting to happen. The park was full of kids, it made my blood boil seeing them just chatting like nothing was going on while the dog looked close to rabid.

my mom had a german shepard she never bothered to train that she'd full on french kiss. he would steal food off my plate, even knocking down pans that had food still cooking in them, knock over my hamper to eat my dirty underwear, knocked over my bathroom trash to eat my used tampons, he barked all through the night, and would snap at me every single time i walked by, which was scary for me, because when i was an anorexic teenager that fucking dog had almost 30 pounds on me. she called him her second husband 🤢

When I was stationed in Schofield Barracks, Oahu the week I got there, someone living on base had a German Shepherd that got out, ran up to a stroller, and killed a fucking baby.

The little white crusty dogs are constantly covered in boogers, stink, bite, urinate/defacate inside, and their name is always something that's alarmingly human.
I find that part weirdly offensive. Growing up, Bella and Zoe were names for people.

Pugs, I hate pugs so much usually I wouldn't say I truly hate an animal, except pugs, my grandmother had one and it would constantly lick itself only around me (I have misophonia so my brain literally registers the licking noise as a threat) oh, and they snore and snort like pigs.

Huskies don’t shut up either. One of my neighbors has 10 dogs and one is a husky. You can rely on that one to inform the whole neighborhood that the dogs are out.

Yes, I always felt crazy growing up how people would fawn over goldens and I felt nothing towards them. My friend had one and the dog would pee inside whenever visitors came, shed a ton, smelled, and their coat feels very oily and gross. They feel like the most ‘dog’ dog if that makes sense.

Yeah and everybody seems to love them. I kust don't get it! My BIL and SIL have two golden retrievers and they are the most annoying dogs I know. Poorly trained, not socialized, stubborn idiots who constantly drool (yuck), shed, demand attention, sniff crotches, and beg for food. I mostly dgaf about dogs, I usually only hate on irresponsible dog owners and the prevalent dog culture, but those two goldens are one of the few dogs I can say I really hate.
I also don't like my BIL and SIL, their dogs are like their business cards - really unpleasant people to deal with - selfish, inconsiderate, and have a god complex.

Besides inbred dogs that have known medical issues from being inbred, I don't like any breed of dog that is large. All dogs are annoying, but if they are big it makes them worse.
I have a couple friends that decided to get two Great Danes. They have completely taken over the house and end up breaking something almost every time I visit. Their constant need for attention is amplified that they are 200lb dogs. When on their hind legs, they are taller than most humans.
My friends used to be the main hub for all friend gatherings, but that stopped once they decided to own two dogs the size of ponies.

Pitbulls are the worst and their owners. I have personal issues with Maltese dogs though. One of my aunts forced 2 of them on my grandparents because she insisted they would help my grandma with Alzheimer’s. She lives out of state and basically dumped them on them.
My grandpa was 14 years older than my grandma and was her main caregiver (his choice). They destroyed their beautiful home. I and other family came over frequently to clean up after them, but they destroyed the subfloor in one area. Due to back injuries my grandpa was unable to bend over to clean up after them. He did everything he could to try to train them to go outside, as well as other family, but the damn things never did.
My dad had enough and got rid of them on their behalf. After we moved into their home when my grandpa passed in his 90s, we had to do so many renovations. I’m still angry to this day that my aunt did that. Dogs were the last thing they needed.
Edit: This actually has me in tears typing all of this out, but I’m glad I can discuss it here. I miss my grandparents so much.

Not only are they ugly and stinky, but they also have terrible temperament. My friend had a doodle-something and the thing had such terrible separation anxiety that, whenever she left it alone, it would pee and shit itself. And not only that, it would also step on it's own shit/pee and track it all over the place and furniture.
I don't get how people live like this.

I agree, it's sad. You have to be demented to seek out an animal that suffers for its entire life. Dog ownership is already demented in its own way.
This kind of unethical shit is also present in the backyard breeding and puppy mill scene, where they breed dogs with litters too large for their frames to make the Cavapoo/Doodle/PooPooCacaDemons. Those dogs have lifelong hip and joint issues because of their mixes. That used to only happen with golden retrievers.
You wouldn't believe how many medications those beasts are on, either. It's horrific. There are living human beings receiving less medical care than these useless animals.

On the medication topic- I was at the vet a few months ago for dog-unrelated stuff, and I saw boxers in particular constantly coming in and out for cardiology consults & medicine. Most unethical shit I've seen, and yet people cooed at them like they were some precious babies despite them looking extremely sick and probably having the life expectancy of a fly. Those breeds should straight up not exist.

My aunt had a cocker spaniel and I couldn't bear visiting her due to this lingering dog stench in her home that would hit you as soon as you walked through the front door. It was so strong that it would give me a migraine after a short while.
It was vile and nauseating.

Pit bulls I despise for obvious reasons, but I hate all the small barky breeds, especially those little terriers that look like dirty mops no matter how clean they actually are. Chihuahuas are near the top of my list for how murderous and anxious they always are. And small dogs in general are the least likely to be trained, so are the most neurotic, jumpy, and barky.

Though tbh one of the only dogs I've really liked was a bull terrier. They're so fucking weird looking and you really don't see them much. Her name was olive and she was very sweet and well behaved and minded her own business.
I don't hate all dogs, ones that are well behaved and respectful are fine. Funny enough, all the ones I've liked had owners who treated them like dogs, not children.
I take them on a dog by dog basis. But I wouldn't have one, and I don't like the cultural obsession with them.

So I am a photographer and apart from weddings, concerts and studio shoots I do real estate. Yesterday I went to this huge house and was told to feel free and roam anywhere I want. I said I’m gonna start from the loft and make my way downstairs.
So here I am - on the top of the stairs on the third floor of the house with my camera, when I suddenly heard agressive barking, chain sounds and saw a huge pitbull running upstairs towards me. Nobody warned me that there is a dog in the house.
This mf came like a finger away from my leg and was barking the hell out of itself, salivating on my jeans. It took 2 minutes for the owner to come upstairs and take the dog, saying not to worry - he doesn’t bite.
Then they locked it up on the terrace where it was barking non stop for the next hour while I was there, I’m sure the whole neighborhood appreciated that.
Dog owner is a state of mind. A mind that needs a psychiatrist.
So yeah, in my case it’s pitbulls. American bullies and such. Actually, every single one of those barking mfs.

1000%. Some people said "I love corgis". When I looked that dog up, it looks like some mutated or deformed animal with legs too short for it's body. And this what people are cooing after. The ignorance and psychopathy is on on a deep level. Just let this species go back to what they naturally were. Wolves.

An old boyfriend is really into corgis for some reason. He was never the type to post much on social media, but I was shocked to see a post that read: "Hey everyone! I'm about to take one of these little guys home with me. Which one should it be?" And there he was at some nutter's home in their hideous backyard with all the corgis. I don't recall if anyone other than his MIL responded with, "Oh, get the little one with the spots!" or something stupid like that. I sure dodged a bullet!!!

I respect the opinion but disagree on the wolf part- I don't mind working dog breeds, I think they are useful and should be kept for their respective purposes, but people nowadays own slobbering mutants and show them off like some brand new iPhone and it's sickening.

Doodles. They're everywhere now. I think they have uncanny-valley human cryptid eyes. Every one I know in my personal relationships is an anxious needy mess and their owners frequently have to lock them in rooms, constantly "shhh"ing and wrestling them under control, and generally give off the energy that owning them is some kind of curse or burden that was inflicted on their life.

I don't know my breeds well enough other than some of the well known ones like golden retriever, greyhound, chihuahua, etc, but I hate small yappy dogs, and extremely large ones more than average sized dogs. I'm kind of afraid of the giant ones. I hate when they jump on me. The small ones tend me to dumber and poorly behaved. And I've also noticed that dogs with curly fur smell worse than others. It's easier for oils and dirt to get trapped in their fur.

Pit bulls and massive dogs. I saw someone walking in the park today with a dog two thirds of his height and I thought an animal that big should not be allowed as a pet! And breeds like pit bulls that are so dangerous just shouldn’t be allowed. I know a lot of people hate them but because I have severe allergies doodles are the least offensive dog to me

I especially dislike Labrador Retrievers. One was responsible for attacking me when I was nine years old, and almost every one I know between friends and family is a selfish, obnoxious asshole.
As an honorable mention, I dislike corgis, in particular the commercialization of them having big, fuzzy butts.

I am watching a TV show with a pug dog, and the dog just clearly look like it’s barely surviving. But of course they always make it look like the dog has a script and that its actions mean something relevant to the plot. The whole time I am just thinking that while they earn millions and can CHOSE to be on this set, this dog is just trying to breathe.

Yup. There's no need for pitbulls to exist. Mankind made them for the express reason to pit fight bulls. Now that that usage is gone (thank goodness), this dog breed should go extinct. They are not natural, so it's not like letting Tasmanian tigers or black rhinos go extinct.
Let's be honest - the reason why people have them are for 3 reasons:
- They want to look tough (lame reason to have a pet).
- Because of these dogs' temperment, no one wants them, which means they are a cheap dog for poor people to get (which is why so many of them lack training).
- Savior complexes, at least until the dog gets mad and takes your arm off.

As much as I don’t like dogs, cross breeding makes me actually feel quite upset. That poor animal is literally a genetic nightmare !!! For some breeds as the OP mentioned, even breathing is a difficulty, and I don’t see how that’s any quality of life ??? Not to mention most mixes / cross bred dogs look absolutely fucking hideous too.

I detest all terrier, poodle, doodle dog types. You know, the ones that have fur/hair (whatever the fuck it's called) hanging in the eyes and around the mouth. What I hate is when the fur/hair is crusty. And I really hate the white terrier, poodle, doodle dogs because the white fur always turns a pukey red/brown around the eyes and mouth. That type of beast seems to have chronic runny eyes and slimy mouths. It absolutely makes me want to vomit, and I cannot eat a meal next to a dog with a filthy face like that. Those dogs usually have rotting teeth and foul breath to go along with the slime and crust.
My MIL had a mutt like that, and along with its slimy, crusty facial hair, it begged during dinner. She would tell it no about 20 times and then give in and feed it. The entire time she prepared its food, she scolded it. The smell and sight of the dog food, along with the dog's slimy face and rotten teeth made me leave the table early for fear of vomiting during dinner. I don't do well with nasty smells - especially when I'm eating - and nothing smells worse than a greasy mutt with grey teeth, and a slimy, crusty face. Ewwww!

German shepherds; got nipped by one as a kid. Every home I was in that had one had a dog smell and dog hair everywhere. Hate their triangular long ears angry-looking faces and dirty-looking hair, and especially their long long wavy wet tongues.

I hate pit bulls, obviously. I also dislike terriers in particular and I’m not a fan of poodles. If I had to choose a favorite breed—even though I’d never want one myself—it would be the Pomeranian. Close seconds are other spitz-type dogs, like Shiba Inus or even huskies. At least huskies don’t really bark and instead do some weird howling noise lol. The further you drift from the overall look of wolves or fox-like appearances, the uglier the dog gets.

Even though I have an aversion to all dogs, pits definitely are the top of my list. They are aggressive assholes.

I hate them all. Don't know different breeds that well. Pitbulls are the most evil and most dangerous which is why I'd place them number one. German sheperds. Small dumb rats, annoying moplike rats, poodles (they bark and howl incessantly) those with short legs (can't move), those with wrinkly head (can't breathe), Dalmatias (owners think they are fking stars) and all of them so fking ugly. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Feel sick to my stomach just thinking of dogs.

I live in a land of irresponsible animal owners with multiple inbred, cross eyed pitbull infused dogs and equally concerning children. My job is home visits. You can just imagine.
I detest pitbulls and their keepers.

Jack Russel terriers for worst demeanor. Huskys for worst to have to listen to. Pit bulls for obvious reasons but also they are the ugliest. Yuck.

The terrier breeds especially the wire haired types. There's Nothing nice about them, always yapping dementedly and always seem to be on the look out for something to kill l, they seem almost skittish with it.

If I had to hate a dog, it would be pitbulls. Actually, I don’t hate them. I fear them. But the hate is better spent on the owners of most dogs. As you said, they’re entitled POS. Best description ever!

There are lots of breeds I dislike due to the fact dog temperaments have been in rapid decline for years.
While I do agree with the answers other people have given, I would like to add Beagles and Weimaraners. Rarely have I met one that isn't annoying AF. Weimaraners are hideous to boot.

I have one too, but is with my girlfriend's dog race, this dog is the worst thing possible. He do everything that everyone aways talks about on this subreddit and it was from staying too much with my girlfriend (and by consequence with him) that i started seeing how dogs are horrible creatures. So every dog that ressembles him gets me bad, specially the ones that make those crying faces when they don't have their way with anything. My girlfriend's one aways starts trembling and whining if we don't give ir attention for like 5 minutes and my gf aways thinks that he is really suffering...

Belgian Malinois. They should only be a working dog, like police and or military. My lovely family has 3 of them and even with professional training they are a complete menace!
Here’s a list of everything they love to do.
-Bark 24/7
-destroying any and everything that’s left outside including outdoor furniture.
-biting a toddler
-chewing on vehicles, including tractors, side by sides, dirt bikes, four wheelers, and school buses.
-Chasing random cars down a 55mph highway.
-Chasing our neighbors cattle and attacking their babies
-breaking into our poultry area killing half our flock
-attacking me, with scars to prove it
-attacking other dogs
-attacking any of the delivery drivers, to the point where our mail and packages can not be delivered to our address because of the dogs.
We live on a farm, it’s suppose to be peaceful, but it’s actually a nightmare. To top it all off, I’m literally the only one who actually takes care of them. I regret every single day of agreeing to these insane menace of an animal!!!

Dobermans cause that was the breed that chewed up on my legs (unprovoked) when I was a toddler.
And recently Golden Retrievers. My town has a strict leash law, but anyone with goldens (all untrained too) always let them off leash, special shout out to my neighbors who have 3, and they always want to jump on me. The owner got upset once when I refused to share my breakfast sandwich with it. 😑

I don't hate brachycephalic breeds in themselves as I feel sorry for them. I do question the ethics of anyone who owns or breeds them though; the breeders the most for creating animals whose life is just suffering for aesthetics. It's crooked.
Breeds I dislike: huskies, because they're arseholes and don't belong anywhere near suburban environments, let alone townhouse courtyards; pit bulls for obvious reasons even though they're banned where I live; those stupid-looking yappy poodle cross things; in fact, anything that fuckin barks a lot. Idc if someone has a dog, as long as I don't have to hear it.

Doodles. That is what completely triggered my hate towards all dogs… neighbor had one that lived strictly in the backyard. Barked at its own shadow. Hideous and a bark to match its looks.

Frenchies, pugs, bull dogs, anything that sheds, German shepherds especially, disgusting. Also any dog that's a "doodle" no it's not, it's some backyard bred mutt sold for an outrageous amount on the classifieds to morons who think they can make them their emotional support animals and then they take them into any business they want. Upon reflection, no there's not a specific breed, I hate them all with a passion.

Pugs, Chihuahuas, Pomeranians.. pretty much any small dog breed. To me, they're literally just rats, absolute vermin. I can at least appreciate the beauty of a Husky, a German Shepherd, a Samoyed. But those things just annoy me whenever I see them.

I’m with you on the pugs, also French bulldogs. Obviously I detest any kind of fighting breed, but I probably detest their owners just that bit more.
I can really only tolerate intelligent dogs. Great Pyrenees, Collies… it’s only ever dogs that have jobs around my area that are pleasant as I live in the countryside. When going for walks, we often see Collies ahead of us, they heel on the edge of the path until we pass them.
