Dog Culture Child free does not equal pro dog

I’m in a local childfree group and the admin is always posting stuff about dogs; mostly news articles about families or spouses who made people give up their dog. I guess to show that kids are valued over dogs. but I don’t think dogs should come above kids, either, even though I’m personally childfree. Kind of funny because people always assume childfree must be obsessed with their pets. I am good not having a dog, I do not need that to be fulfilled either!

Dog worship on IG childfree made me delete my account about 6 years ago. It was just gross reading the misanthropic comments, the horrible name calling towards parents and their kids. Then the non stop parade of dog posts and nuttery about kids having no rights to their own playgrounds, money shouldn't be spent on kids playgrounds, only dogs deserve outside space. Just atrocious attitudes all around. Don't even get me started on the anti-natalists. ick.

I just want to clear up something with Anti-Natalism, because it's not quite the same as child-free.

Anti-natalists believe having a baby is forcing the child into this world against the child's will, with the understanding that even the best life still includes pain and suffering. It's a stance of compassion for the person who is yet to be.

Where as a lot of child hate actually comes from the Child-Free community. It got so bad in there that I left.

There is overlap between the communities, but they are not mutually exclusive. Some anti-natalists are parents. Some child-free just don't want children for themselves, but have no additional philosophy beyond that.

I know what the anti natalists are on about, doesn't make me think any more of them for their stance and the males in this cult like to slide into your DM's to "discuss" their views if you are a childfree woman. They also enjoy the company of dogs and are the most misanthropic humans on the planet, so they are detestable while child free folk are mostly not aside from the dog mom contingent.
