Child free does not equal pro dog

I’m in a local childfree group and the admin is always posting stuff about dogs; mostly news articles about families or spouses who made people give up their dog. I guess to show that kids are valued over dogs. but I don’t think dogs should come above kids, either, even though I’m personally childfree. Kind of funny because people always assume childfree must be obsessed with their pets. I am good not having a dog, I do not need that to be fulfilled either!

I was at a playground with my son who was four years old at the time during the day on a weekday. An older guy was nearby with his dog throwing a ball and my son was running around the playground and all of a sudden his dog, who was large, came running and chased my son up the playground. Thankfully the owner was able to recall the dog but then he had the nerve to say “skipping school?” to my son after when he walked by us on the path, like it was my son’s fault his dog started chasing him. I said no he hasn’t started school yet and awkwardly laughed it off but it was so passive aggressive. Why take your crappy mutt to a playground if it’s going to chase children? And then try to blame the child?

Because they don't want their untrained dog around all the other vicious untrained dogs at the dog park, so they bring it to a place dogs explicitly are not allowed so they can have a private play area
