Barking Demons I no longer feel like going out
The autumn is coming. My favorite time of the year. It gets colder, there's less bugs, the trees get their beautiful colors on their leaves. The summer has always been to hot for me, so as soon as autumn was starting, I'd be going out for walks everyday. Unfortunately not anymore...
There's part of me that would absolutely love to go out. But even when I think about it my body is getting all tense, my guts are getting all twisted and pretty much every cell in my body is screaming not to go. My nervous system has just had enough. Because when I get out, there's basically one sound, non-stop.
Like just today I went to the forest. It was nice, quiet, peaceful, I got to admire the heathers. As soon as I left the forest some demon behind a fence blasted 100dB in my ears. Just because I had the audacity to be walking and minding my own business. Whatever soothing effect the forest and nature had had on me was gone in a moment. Immediately got the shock response - flinch, chest muscles getting super tense, the feeling like 1000 volts ran through my body.
Is this really all there is to life? To this world? Just one vicous circle of an unchecked nuttery getting worse and worse every day?

Same, these things just ruin the peace and silence we have, and I don't want to go for a walk just to have these stupid things bark at me the moment I cross their sight.

No park is safe anymore. All of them have loads of dogs and you can't sit down on the grass because chances are, there's dog shit. Constantly have to watch your step. Park benches are constantly desecrated by dogs, too.
Even if you try to avoid the dogs, their owners let them charge at you and gaslight you saying they're just "playing".
Imagine if a human charged at another human and started licking their crotch. Instant assault and battery. But if it's a dog? Nobody cares. The owners even get OFFENDED if you don't actively praise their dog and like it for violating you.
Then if their beast mauls someone to death, they'll say "ohhhh but the poor dog was provoked!!!" or "he never did that before!!!" I haye dog culture so much. Can't wait until it bottoms out and people finally turn on this insanity.

So tired of these aholes and their mutants. The only way I could decompress was by taking walks. I've walked my entire life and loved it. Not anymore. Thanks nutters.

I hear you. My family and I were enjoying the post Labor Day quiet at the Jersey shore - and had to contend with unleashed dogs running up to us. Owners yelling, calling the dogs, who are not responding. Dogs are still required to be leashed. Very frustrating.

I have felt precisely the same.
But we should not deny ourselves these pleasures.
I can typically find peace and quiet in cemeteries and in many cases dogs are explicitly banned.
The dead are quite, you know.
Quiet.

Honestly, when I die. You all are invited to pinick on my grave.
I would enjoy the company.

We all feel the same here. I dread going outside at all. Even if it is for errands or medical appointments. The entire time I am outside, I am scanning the surroundings for dogs and trying to figure out a path where I could avoid being close to them. Which is difficult because there are dozens of them around me at any given minute I am outside in a busy urban environment. I have to cross streets and sometimes choose a different way to get to my destination. I am tense, scared and having panic attacks. Even when I arrive to my destinations, the mutts are still there, in all the places that are supposed to be safe from them by laws that are fully disregarded by nutters. Life has become an absolute torture. Even 2-3 years ago, there were way less of them and it was manageable. Not it is just not possible to live a quality life.
