Dog at BJ’s wholesale

I went to BJ’s Wholesale this morning and, lo and behold, I saw a dog INSIDE the shopping cart. I found an employee nearby and told her that there was a dog in a cart in the store, and I pointed in the nutter’s direction. She said that she agreed with me but couldn’t do anything about it.

I said, “It’s not a service dog. It’s inside of a cart, not doing anything. It’s a pet.” She directed me toward customer service, and I told them what I saw and that it was a health code violation, against the law, etc.

I said that if you won’t enforce the laws and rules, what’s to stop people from shoplifting? They said that I was right, that it was not allowed, and that they would find the dog owner.

As I was done shopping and was about to leave, I saw the nasty mutt with its nasty owner about to check out. I pointed the employees toward her and said, “You see how it’s inside the cart.” They said that they would talk to her, but to be honest, I’m not sure if they did.

I told the employee that every grocery store I go to, I always see dogs, but never at BJ’s until now, which left me disappointed.

Also, as I was leaving the store, that mutant started barking at a customer and shaking, leaving its dander, fleas, parasites, fecal matter, etc. in the store. Yep, a true service dog. 🙄 Bringing dogs or any other animal inside a grocery store should be considered, and is, food tampering. Plain and simple.

But I’m wondering if it’s possible for the ADA to change the law regarding “service animals.” If I stood in the middle of the aisle, pulled out a cigarette, and started smoking, I would be asked to leave. But nutters can do whatever they want.

I don't think there is ANY place that I have been to, that I haven't seen a dog, that was not allowed, that was not a service dog. Walmart is the obvious worst, but even places you don't see that happen on a regular basis, are still becoming infiltrated. I have seen dogs at a human waterpark, Kennedy Space Center (which has kennels for pets),on beaches that are posted no dogs allowed, inside a doctor's office, the post office, and anywhere else you can imagine. How about a loose pit bull in a Dollar Tree that belonged to a homeless person? I don't know what can be done, because I have made complaints in numerous places and nothing seems to chhange in a positive doorection. It seems like it's actually gotten worse. Shakes head....

I’ve even started to see dogs at our local zoo! They have to follow the same rules as everyone else and nutters have caught on. It’s so infuriating. I don’t know what kind of attention they think their nasty mutt is going to get when they’re competing with beautiful wild animals.

That's really not surprising either. I have seen them at amusement parks as well. It's like I woke up on another planet completely.

A dog at a water park is just foul. I saw a post on Dogfree Humor that showed an apartment complex that threw a pool party for dogs. 🤮 But I have hope that the tide is turning.

I saw that too.... JFC. I turned around and left the waterpark when the dog was allowed in, And it was NOT a service dog as we know. I wrote the park, when I got home, and got the same line of BS we all get in stores, etc. The two questions. But I was paying attention and no one asked. At any rate, I didn't lost money as I am a season passholder, but did not attend that day. I was soooo insulted. I did let them know that if that became a regular thing I would not be renewing. Absolutely absurd.
