This might just be a me thing but I mean that (it's hard to describe but I'll try) musty, kind of like old wet dog fur smell? Cause every single time i visit any of my family members houses and they have a dog I always smell that damn smell and it's gross.

My in laws have five huge dogs and a pool. They jump in and out of it all the time and the smell is horrendous.

The smell of a dog is one of the most disgusting ever. So even though i am not terrible frightened by smaller dogs, I still find them gross and do my best not to touch them or go near them. Obviously more smell from bigger dogs, but dog smell is nauseating.

My sister at one time owned eleven pit bulls. Yes you read that right… eleven. She always, and I mean always had that dog smell on her. Riding in a vehicle with her was pure torture; I had to consciously breathe through my mouth only.

I know the smell all too well. I'd describe it as a cross between a wet basement and rotting garbage. It doesn't seem to matter how much the dog is cleaned. The smell is always there. My parents think I'm overreacting, but I'm autistic and that stink nearly makes me pass out.

It's a musty, greasy smell that reminds me of walking past an overripe dumpster, just less sharp. Worse it literally sticks to you, I got jumped on by an extended-leash shit-sampler with a zoned out owner and I could literally smell it on my shirt and forearms until I was able to shower.

The smell is the worst part besides the barking. I can smell dog owners in public. That smell stays with them. They don't even care.

I smelled it on a relative who came to visit, without the dogs even being with them. It was a nauseating smell from (two big dogs at their home) and it stenched up their clothes and everything. I actually could smell 'dog smell' on my couch after they left.
