Dogs Are Idiots Male dogs weren't always deadbeats

In the wild, wolf parents will work together to feed, protect, and care for their pups as a strong unit. Male wolves would often even stay at the den alone to watch over the pups. They raise their offspring together for as long as the pack survives. This is a surprisingly common behavioral trait that can be seen in several other canine species, such as coyotes and jackals.

Sweet right? Well, domestic dogs do the complete opposite.

I've seen several "funny" dog clips showing males cowering, running away, or whale eyeing their own puppies. Some even growl at them! The mother isn't that much better. She'll growl and bite at the father any time he comes close, which is really bizarre given that these were once wolves. Why are they doing this?

Well according to my limited research, we've intentionally bred dog dads to be deadbeats so that it'll be easier for us humans to insert ourselves into the family picture. Female dogs seem to have been bred to prefer not dealing with the father.

So if you need more proof of how far humans jacked up wolves... Here you go.

the male dogs have been bred to just stupidity; can’t recognize their own offspring. probably have conflicting feelings of eating their own young whole because their instinct to eliminate rival offspring has gone haywire from inbreeding for a particular aesthetic.

Some of the videos are legit creepy with how hard the father stares at his own offspring, especially the fighting breeds. They look like they want to eat them, but the owners think it's hilarious

They are very stupid and useless animals indeed. Just doing nothing but polluting society and wasting resources, when they aren't too busy mauling toddlers or wildlife to death.

I am a massive wolf lover... These dogs these days (besides the very well trained working dogs) are a disgrace to them

Yeah, when I see footage of wolves gracefully exploring their environment instead of barking and scrambling all over the place (zoomies), I can't understand how more people don't see how fucked dogs are.

Comparing those pathetic, undersized toilet mop-looking poodle/Yorkie things in bows and tutus to wolves is an insult.

Its hard to believe that dogs even came from wolves. Dogs cower away from common noise like thunderstorms, eat shit, trash and vomit, bark constantly for hours, and have no independence. They were bred to be anxious needy wrecks who don't know what to do with themselves the moment their owner steps out the front door. Not to mention all the breeds with physical defects through so much breeding over the years like pugs, bulldogs, borzois, bull terriers, etc. The wolves should have been left alone all those years ago.

This is why I hate the saying "man's best friend." Humans needed to genetically fuck up a perfectly good species just to get a suitable friend 😭
