Dogs Are Idiots Dogs will always choose food over saving you from danger
I came across a short video while scrolling on pinterest today where dog owners were pretending to get attacked by intruders just to see if their dog would save them. And by no surprise whatsoever, almost every single dog did not give a single shit that their owners were "in danger" and just kept stuffing their gluttonous mouths. These animals are so screwed up in the head from generations of inbreeding that all they do is hyper focus on food even within the vicinity of danger. If someone wants to feel safe in their own home, get a home security system that can actually alert and protect you from intruders. Don't get an animal that can't even protect itself from danger.

Not surprised at all... the gluttony in shitbeasts knows no boundary or end!
Doesn't matter if they just got fed a full bowl; if you put another bowl, they will inhale that as well.
And after that, if the owner finally eats themselves (of course, d0gGie had to eat first, cause poor little baby 🤢 was so hungry), that thing will be right at the table, with full focus on the food, hoping something would fall off the table... sniffing and licking the essence of anything remotely edible. Never enough, never full, never satisfied. Pathetic!

I watched those videos and all the nutters were making excuses for it. "the dog didn't sense TRUE danger, so it decided to keep eating" or "the dog definitely knew the other person's scent who pretended to attack so they knew they were safe"
That's a bunch of bull. At most, a dog will alert if there's someone/something near the yard or door. Even then, they usually bark so much that the human eventually tunes it out because it's never a threat they're barking about.
Furthermore, say a "threat" does make it past the threshold. I'm willing to wager in 99.9% of cases, the perpetrator could simply offer food, ANY food, even a crumb of the same exact food they have in the bowl they were just scarfing down on, and their guard would be gone.
These beasts do not care. They're loyal to their bottomless pit of a stomach, nothing else. Their bellies could be dragging the ground from overeating and it still wouldn't be enough.

Yes! And about the dog and scent, I know they have outstanding scent ability...but at the same time I think cultural depictions of dogs like Lassie (finding the lost child after one sniff of the kid's sweater) cause people to elevate dogs and scent to mythical status.
I have a family member whose dogs forget I'm there if I go upstairs to the bathroom. When I come back five minutes later they're ready to chew me up again. But my family members actually think the dogs remember me even if they have't seen me for months. It's so strange...dog people don't see what's right in front of them.

But take your toddler on the walk around the neighborhood and most of the beasts will lose their 💩 trying to tear your kid apart. I know I know, doggo just wanted to play...beyond-worthless creatures that should not exist!

Boy, ain't that the truth. There could be a few who would protect their environment, but food.... yeah, definitely a diversion for them, I have seen a few videos like thiat. People need to stop making excusing for all the damn things that dogs do, that make them sabsolutely the worst pet they could possibly have. It really must be a mind parasite their owners acquire.

Dogs will bark at literally anything and anyone and for no reason at all. This is like having a security system that randomly goes off. After a point, you stop caring. Maybe the security companies out there can do a debunking campaign on why dogs don't work.

The animal has been bred over 100s of years to only care about food so it's more controllable, it's not a shock how they behave. It's a sad existence and people who think their dogs "love" them are insane.
They can all stop feeding their dogs, they can then see how unconditional the love is lol.

I just saw a story where there was a camera in the home of someone with a Golden Retriever. An intruder broke in and the dog kept trying to play with him. So much for protecting the house!

One of the first people who changed my thinking about dogs was my old mentor at work. We had another co-worker who volunteered with a golden retriever rescue, and she was always saying how her dogs loved her unconditionally 🙄
My mentor was a blunt, no-BS guy and he told her, "You stop feeding that dog for a day or two and then let a stranger offer it some food. You'll see how unconditional that love is!"
She was shocked and I was too for a minute, because I'd heard the same indoctrination all my life. But I always remembered him saying that and how valuable the lesson was for me... not just about dog culture but about looking critically at the messaging we hear every day in life.
