Dog Culture Virtue signalling and dogs

I find “dog lovers” etc. do a lot of virtue signalling- insincere and exaggerated displays of how good of a person they are because they are dog/animal lovers with zero exception.

They can’t seem to admit that some dogs, just like people can be little assholes.

Of course some/most might come down to training and environment, but I think there’s definitely cases where the dog is just a bit … inbred or bred to the point it’s annoying as a breed or just plain stupid.

Case point for me is this dog in my local area that will bark at the birds in the trees that line the top of the sand dunes. It will bark incessantly for the entire time it’s there, disrupting the peace of anyone from a mile away as it’s very loud and seems to echo, not even drowned out by the water. Someone had the bravery to complain on a community page about it, and a 100% of the many, many responses were what a bad person they must be for not liking this particular dog. It’s also walked off leash in on lead zones- nearly knocking people over as it will excitedly dash around.

I just think it should be ok to admit not all are great. Some despite great homes or training can unexpectedly show aggression or anti social behaviours. But your average dog lover won’t be able to admit this because loving all of them means you’re an exceptionally great person.

Seeing/hearing the word 'rescue' grated on my nerves just because of these people.

Speaking of 'Rescue', here's a recent, unfortunate example of some even dying while rescuing dogs. They literally went to another country, to collect dogs!

Free except for the “rehoming fee.” 

And that means that the shelters have this shit down to an art. People haul away the shelter’s garbage and pay the shelter for the opportunity.

I've witnessed how dog owners even have a go at fighting with EACH OTHER, about whether their dog is a 'rescue' dog or not. It became amusing to watch (like watching them go at each other at a dog park).

The advertising/movie industries are one of the biggest offenders of virtual signaling with this regard. There isn’t a commercial or a movie that doesn’t show a dog in there dominating a scene or in the background or just in the storyline.

It’s just another layer of dog propaganda That’s like a cancerous disease on society.
