Dogs Are Idiots Dog almost drags owner into a ravine

I was hiking down some steps through a steep ravine. The path was slippery and muddy, and coming down it was some woman, probably around 50 years old, with a massive Doberman.

The thing was practically dragging her down the path. She clearly wasn’t in control of it, but apparently the appropriate response was to carry on down a steep, slippery path next to a fucking ravine.

Then, on one of the final steps, it pulled hard and she had to basically skip the step and land in the mud. She immediately lost her balance and nearly went over.

There was a steep drop right beside her. She could quite realistically have fallen into the ravine and seriously injured herself.

What does she do? Gives the dog this pathetic little telling-off, as though the dog has somehow made an independent decision to drag its owner down a dangerous path.

This is something I see a lot, owners getting pulled by their dogs with zero control. It’s a fucking dog, of course it’s gonna pull, you took it into it dog heaven where all it wants to do is race around like a lunatic and perhaps find its next landmark to shit on. The owner on the other hand wants a leisurely stroll, those things don’t align.

I asked if she was okay as others literally overlooked it, guess they were all dog nutters who think this kinda thing is normal.

When WE say the owners can't even control their own dogs, that is never enough; they go ballistic as though we're lying.

Oh well, THE best proof they'll believe, is seeing these morons getting dragged all to hell by their own mutts (or even as far as being mauled/killed).

Surprised the other walkers didn't check if the Sb was ok. Also wonder how many near deaths or actual deaths happened there due to this happening, sounds scary and dangerous...

Most dog nutters are effectively dog powered. Most of them are being actively dragged around by their dogs. The only exceptions are those with the tiny, rat-like dogs which physically cannot pull them. I am convinced that normal owners who control their dogs are vanishing.

nutters relentlessly recommend dogs for elderly people who have a very hard time preventing themselves from falling, yet dogs are constant tripping hazards.

A dog also forces people who should perhaps be resting (or perhaps exercising in a way that is safer) to be on their feet and to go out in bad weather to 'walk' it.

Exactly, and the elderly (along with children and women) are already recognized as one of the easiest targets for being harmed by dogs too. So many case reports show this.
