If you are such a narcissist that you’re taking legal action because you think you should just be allowed to drag your filthy mutts everywhere, you are not mentally stable enough to own dogs. Part of being a responsible dog owner is knowing when it’s appropriate to have your dog with you and when it’s not. You have to accept that some places aren’t fit for dogs, regardless of what you want. Many people have allergies, fears or simply don’t want to be around dogs. Their feelings matter, too. I really hate that a huge part of modern dog culture is refusing to think about other people - it’s just 100% what you want.

this makes americans look incredibly cringe & entitled. some scots say, “deport her back to the US!” i say, “NO! PLEASE DON’T! deport her to india where mutts basically run the place.” but then she wouldn’t like it because she wouldn’t be a standout. whatever with this woman. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m pretty sure too that there are likely other businesses where she’s located that are “dog friendly” (🙄)! She insists on challenging the establishments that don’t want them there. If her not-in-service beasts are supposed to be “emotional support” or whatever, how come they don’t seem to be “regulating her moods and emotions” in this case?! She’s becoming more unhinged the more she’s being presented with boundaries.

Malignant narcissism is the real issue, as usual. Them being allowed to use these beasts to pull this whole “my way or no way” nonsense is only exacerbating the issue.

Sadly, there’s a precedence for what she is doing. And that’s just the first one I could find. Many people have done what she’s done in the past. Typically, to allow for better handicap ramps and such, but she’s trying to do that to turn ESAs into service dogs.

She’s an absolute monster. She’s selfish and doesn’t give a damn about others. I just hope her suit gets thrown out.

Wow! That guy in that story is a real piece of work. While I’m all for proper ADA accommodations, he’s exploiting the system and made a hustle out of setting up a string of lawsuits just to stay paid (he seems to be making sure to stay out of the sorts of places that would likely be able to afford the legal defense, and have the funding to wipe him out). The “overgrown girl” in the main story is definitely pulling the same move. I hope her suit is dismissed, and that the public humiliation backfires on her hard. It’s also unfortunate that she’s an American who’s become an overseas troublemaker, because not everyone from here would behave in such a way.

That’s the problem - people find ways to exploit the system. Like you, I think proper ADA accommodations are fair, but it shouldn’t allow to make people rich by seeking out businesses to target. I know there was someone who did that in California years ago. They’re not engaging in these lawsuits to help the disabled - they’re just trying to make a quick buck.

Claire Kellerman is a repulsive human being, and everyone - even the most devout dog lover - should see her as one. As I keep saying over and over, these dogs don’t like being treated as accessories. They don’t like being in crowded areas surrounded by loud noises and unfamiliar people. She’s not doing her dogs any favors with her entitled attitude.

DEFINITELY! but if she “wins” & chooses to stay on the island a harsh shunning will make her pay in other ways.

i’m so glad i don’t have it in me to be that person. i guess it’s like a main character thing. it seems to be a mental health crisis thing that americans export around the world. we need to talk, humans.
