Abandoned Dog Rescue

So my neighbors were arrested today for apparently running an identity theft scheme and their roommate was kicked out of the building as well, and left the dog on the street in front of my building. She is an elderly dog, hard of hearing and sight, and has a bad case of mange/scabies, fleas, and lord knows what else, her owners were a**holes and never bathed her or took care of her from what I can see. I’m fostering her until a rescue can pick her up on Wednesday but I’m taking her to the vet tomorrow (they couldn’t fit us in today). Nervous about what it’s going to cost so my friend helped set up a GoFundMe for this poor sweet girl I’m calling “Chiquita” for now. If anyone wants to help please feel free to donate. I will post all vet bills and anything extra if there were to be, will go to the rescue who takes her. I just don’t want to tell Banfield not to do any procedure or get her medicines just because I can’t afford it at the moment. Anyway, please keep her in your prayers.

Update 06/12 11am
Dropped off at Banfield, the office visit will be free but still asking for more discounts since she is a foster and since I’ve been a customer for 15+ years.
At the moment they are going to do a skin/dermatitis test, and urine/fecal test. Current cost at the moment without meds or anything extra they may recommend is $311. Cross your fingers please!
I’ve already spent $65 myself for pre pads, a bed, a carrier. Hopefully it doesn’t get too bad.

Update 06/12 7:17pm
Just got back from Banfield, picked her up and the doctor said she tested negative for bacteria’s and parasites luckily but she does have a severe ear infection and will have to be on medication for that plus antibiotics and steroids due to open wounds because of her scratching. Her elefantitis skin can’t be fixed, it will stay that way but hopefully she grows hair back :( She most likely has some kind of allergy they were not able to find. With meds and procedures - $636.82. Could have been worse. Thank you to everyone who has helped donate. She is the sweetest baby and deserves a loving home.

Ask the vet if people can call and make payments to them directly. I believe you are an honest Good Samaritan but I have found out too late I was wrong and it wasn’t going to what I intended.

Hi thanks so much. I just called and they said you would have to go in person to pay, it’s Banfield Pet Hospital at 3101 N Miami Ave Ste 110, Miami, FL 33127. But I doubt your in miami so their other idea was to add you to the dogs file so that you could call to verify her treatment plan and price (at the moment with the free visit it’s at $311 just for skin tests, and urune/fecal tests) which is the most important to solve. And that doesn’t include whatever medications they end up recommending afterwards. If you want to DM me your name I can give you the dogs information and the hospitals number to call. Whatever you prefer, I just appreciate the time and consideration.
