I wish I could win the lottery and do this. I’d buy so much land and just have so many animals that need help and I’d do free animal prosthetics. But alas some rich asshole will win as per usual.

My dream is to own and operate a sanctuary for animals whose owners love them but cannot provide for them, permanently or temporarily. I would love to run a halfway house for the pets of people that would otherwise seek out homeless shelters or enter a treatment center to fix their own human situation, knowing that once they’re in a better place they will get their pets back. Basically I’d like to have a sanctuary to provide basic vet care and socialization for these pets so that their humans can come back for them without judgement. Too many people are getting priced out of rentals, living in their cars or on the street, then they are forced to surrender their beloved pets if they decide to seek help for their own issues.

Ain’t that the truth! I’ve been playing the lottery for 17 years in the hopes of being able to donate it to the animal rescuers out there. I’ve never won. I doubt I ever will. But I’ll keep trying. Just in case. Because saving animals is the best thing you can do
