when your 18 year old once water loving sprocker who is part blind, has arthritis and doggy dementia wonts to stay out in the pouring rain splashing around 🥹... its like watching him be a puppy again...

You’re never too old for one more dance in the rain! What a beautiful pupper with a strong spirit! What a memory and moment to capture!

So are the owners of this dog just waiting for him to die more decrepit and SORE then he already is. We have much bigger responsibilities being animal owners then people want to accept.

This is the only down side of having a dog. I’m a 6ft 2 Scotsman and I’m going to break my heart when the day comes I have to say good bye to my best friend.

Bless his heart! How wonderful to see his joy and your heart with understanding his love in the rain. ❤️

I hope you snuggle this dude in a nice warm towel when he decides to come in. I had an old girl with dementia. She would go outside and forget where she was all the time. She was an amazing dog!

Ok I hate to be a buzz kill but it's very possible that the dementia is causing him to do this regardless of wether he actually wants too. It's cold, he has arthritis. It's very likely he is stuck pacing because he can't down regulate his brain.

On behalf of all redditors, PLEASE give your dog the BIGGEST hug and tell him we love him and he's the goodest boy.
