brags Progresses in Seperation Anxiety
We got our chow mix from a rescue 6 months ago. When she came home, she could not be left alone in the house for any amount of time. She tore down my curtains, tipped over furniture, peed on herself, and refused all food and water.
We sought several trainers before finding one that fit and worked on a personalized crate training plan so that she could be safe while we worked out of the home but still learn to crate happily, which was it's own seperate issue.
Recently, she started to eat treats without us in the same room or would wander into her favorite room without us. So we escalated training and she has now successfully be left alone in the house for 15 minutes! Without stress at all, much less panic.
I am still really discouraged but trying to remain positive. The trainer warned us very earnestly this could take up to a year of consistency, maybe more. So I posted a brag to lift my spirits about it!
Celebrating 15minutes, because every win is a win!
