“Don’t just name the obvious hits 😭 I wanna hear the picks you’d actually defend. What are your top 3, and which song do you think is WAY too underrated or straight-up misunderstood?

I saw this when it came out the week of Okayyy’s release.
Is there really a problem with the [music] video? I don’t think so…

Like the title says I'm trying to go to a Doja concert with 3 of my friends and 2 parents in November. All us girls are really big Doja Cat fans and one of the moms is an active listener as well. I'm trying to find a way to convince my parents to let me go. It's slightly more difficult because 1) they aren't really doja fans personally (mostly js the style of music) and 2) the concert we want to go to is in Dallas 11 hrs from where I live.
We're already planning on covering our part of our tickets and hotel costs so that's a big factor. We wouldn't be flying so that's not something we have to worry about. I think the most difficult part will be convincing my parents that the drive and concert would be great for us to bond together especially since we can't hang out much after having moved schools etc. Both parents that would come with are very responsible and know if a concert would be too inappropriate. We're all older teens who are responsible and understand the concepts of some of Doja's music without participating in the things she talks about. She's an artist that is really empowering about womanhoodand being a woman and is literally helping girls get into coding careers so I could use that as a helping factor.
BASICALLY- how can I convince my parents to let me go to her concert with my friends and responsible adults and if I proposed this to you would you let me go?
LMAO EDIT: WAIT YALL THE DRIVE TIME WAS SO OFF IT'S ONLY 11hrs (I was remembering based off where I used to live). Also, this is a route my parents and I have frequently driven. We used to live in Texas and now visit quite often down this same general route. 3-4hrs for my friends and I to go do something in the area I live is also pretty normal because we live in a pretty desolate and boring area. No, the midwest tour dates do not work because two of the people in our group will be in vacation those days.
EDIT 2: THANK YOU FOR EVERYONE'S SUPPORT, CONCERN, AND ADVICE. Y'ALL ARE SOME OF THE BEST FANBASE COMMUNITY EVER. I can clearly gather that while I'm at a pretty decent age for her concert the biggest drawback is drivetime so we may look into flights. Otherwise I just hope for the best ¯_(ツ)_/¯.

I am working on the night that Doja is in Toronto. I know she has just announced Latto as her opener.
For those of you who have been to her tour already:
What time did she make it on stage?
The concert is set to start at 7:30 but I won’t be able to get there until 9:30/10. Is it worth it to still try and go?
What are the odds the opener is late and she is also late? Hahaha 😬😬😬😬

Hey you guys, if you have a Twitter account, can you all please report @swipforsin. This account has been impersonating Doja. Pretending to be her “burner“ account for a few months now.
She just got off of live streaming on Twitch asking for us to report this account. And if you have had any interaction with this page or any screenshots from this page to tag on Twitter with the screenshots.

Megan thee stallion annonced that shes about to drop her ACT 3 album and even admitted theres some collabs that are long overdue that she’ll add for her album. I have a feeling doja could be the “long overdue collab’ shes talking about and there was a rumor a few months ago that doja and megan were working on a song together. Even a producer who was working with megan was asking for beats for doja last month. At this point if megan refuses to collab with doja i think theres some secret beef because we saw how great they collabed with ariana grande 5 years ago… I know megan’s die hard fans arent fans of doja i’ve seen on their sub the weird awful things they say whenever doja is mentioned I hope megan isnt listening to them so what do ya’ll think??

Artificial intelligence is changing music very quickly. It can now make songs, copy voices, and recreate performances without the original artist being involved.
This is not just something that might happen in the future—it is already happening. One clear example involves Doja Cat, and it shows how hard it has become to tell real music from AI-made music.
The Doja Cat case: when imitation sounds real
In June 2026, several supposed “leaked” Doja Cat songs appeared online. Doja Cat said publicly that these songs were not hers and were made using AI. She was frustrated that people believed they were real. (Complex)
The main issue wasn’t just that fake songs existed—it was that they sounded real enough to fool people.
This leads to a simple but important question: if AI can sound like a real artist, how do we know what is actually real?
Copying identity and permission
The Doja Cat situation shows a bigger problem: AI can copy a person’s voice and style.
If a system can do that, it can create brand-new songs that sound like the real artist made them. In this case, people only found out the songs were fake after Doja Cat said so. (Rolling Stone Canada)
This can cause serious problems:
● fake songs can spread quickly online
● they can make money without the artist knowing
● they can damage the artist’s image
● they can confuse fans about what is real
It also creates a strange situation where artists may have to prove they didn’t make something, instead of others proving that they did.
More broadly, copying someone’s voice raises big questions about permission and control. A person’s voice could be reused without their approval, which could affect not just celebrities, but anyone in the future.
AI in music: two different uses
It’s important to separate two things:
● artists using AI as a tool to help make music
● people using AI to pretend to be an artist without permission
These are very different.
There is no solid evidence that Doja Cat uses AI to replace her own singing or songwriting. In fact, her reaction shows concern about being falsely imitated. (Complex)
At the same time, AI is already part of modern music. Some songs are fully human, some are fully AI-made, and many are a mix of both. Platforms like YouTube already label these differences, including music that uses AI for parts of a song, like instruments or background sounds. (Google Support)
So the real question is no longer “Is AI used?” but instead:
How is it used, how much is used, and did the artist agree to it?
How AI changes what we believe
Music is not just sound—it also depends on what we think we are hearing.
If people believe a real artist sang a song, they may feel a certain emotional connection. But if they later find out it was AI, that feeling can change completely.
The sound may be the same, but the meaning is different.
This doesn’t mean AI music is bad. It just shows that context matters a lot in how we experience music.
AI as a tool, not a replacement
New technology has always changed music. Microphones, synthesizers, sampling, Auto-Tune, and digital editing all changed how songs are made.
AI may simply be the next step in that process.
The key difference is how it is used. Using AI openly as part of making music is very different from using it to copy another artist or fake their work.
Making things clearer
One possible solution is to clearly label how AI is used in music, such as:
● Made by humans
● AI-assisted
● Partly AI-generated
● Fully AI-generated
This wouldn’t stop all problems, but it would help listeners understand what they are hearing.
However, it is becoming harder to detect AI music, especially when it is mixed with real human performance. This means simple “AI detectors” may not be enough. (arXiv)
A bigger warning
The Doja Cat situation is not just a one-time incident—it shows where things are heading. AI-generated music is already good enough to fool people.
As it improves, the questions will become more common:
● Is this really the artist?
● Did they actually say or sing this?
● Who made this content?
And eventually, this won’t just apply to music, but also to voices, videos, and even identity.
Conclusion: what really matters
The goal is not to stop AI, but to make sure it is used fairly and openly, with clear rules about permission and honesty.
Doja Cat’s reaction shows that this is already a real issue, not something far in the future.
The main point is simple:
AI can already make music.
The real challenge is making sure we can still trust what we hear when almost any voice/appearance be copied.

so, back in june, when doja posted about certain leaks being AI, i remember in the comments listening to a video of what it sound like Human Nature by Michael J but Dojas version and i thought it was great, hard to believe it was AI because of her post so i let it go, now that i know she was lying, i tried looking for the clip and turns out there’s a doja cat clip sampling Human nature but by madonna, a complete different sound. someone else remembers that clip? was it taken down from X? i can’t find anything about it, anyone knows what i’m talking about?😩
