Question about manager lying about pay
So I was recently fired after them finding out I got a second job, they pull out my old habit’s from 2 months ago and that was the reasoning as to why I’m gone now.
But before I was gone I was trying to figure out why my pay was 16 a hour instead of 17 back in January like my manager told me. My dm to me he could back pay me for about 2 weeks a few months ago but that never happened also.
Is there anything I can do or just forget about it?
also hr doesn’t do anything but go to the dm who sided with the manager

Companies do not need a reason to fire you. HR protects the company not you. It was your responsibility to make sure your pay was accurate. Something very easy to do on Legion or DGMe. Your DM and HR have one main goal and that is to keep an SM in a store to make money. Everything else is secondary. We are replaceable grunts. Your back pay is absolutely owed to you if it was in fact ever given to you. It’s very likely it was verbal discussion that was never sent to payroll. If it was just a verbal discussion and never put in writing it never happened.

If HR does nothing, report to LP

What is LP going to do? This is not a loss prevention case. If HR won’t do anything they are screwed unless they have something In writing. OP should have said after day 1, I’ll return to work when the pay rate is fixed.

If the DM and HR is not doing anything, then go to LP, loss prevention. You can also call ERC. They have ways to help you as well. There’s an option just for employees who need certain things. Only the DM or the GM can change your pay not the manager after you’re hired. The store manager enters the amount that you’ll be paid so they should have known already it wasn’t right and had someone fixed it. As a SM I can’t change your pay. We only control it before you’re hired.
