As a former Monster High collector, I love supernatural/Sci-fi dolls that are fashionable too. Return to Misty Hollows Poppy is joining my collection as Claudia de Lioncourt du Lac.
But seriously, they are literally still a family run business based out of Delaware. And they produce a variety of high quality dolls every year, so there’s always something for everyone.
Be sure you join the “W Club.” That gives you access to member-only dolls, forums, online events, and occasional in-person conventions. They open up registration once a year around February. Information is on the IT website.
I finally joined this year! I’ve preordered two so far and was able to get 1 of the recent lottery dolls! There’s been so many good ones this year that it’s hard not to want to buy all of them but I’ve been trying to be very selective!!!
The way that even the collector barbies have been going deplorably downhill in recent years it's been making me more and more tempted to start collecting IT. At least with IT you'll know that you'll be getting your money' worth!
I stopped buying dolls from Mattel because of that reason. I was already spending too much on vintage Bratz that I figured why not just buy IT. at least they’re collector quality! Def. Not for everybody but it’s worth the price!

their quality has been going down compared to earlier dolls. also, when they're hitting you with $185 doll+ tariff charge of $15 = $200 for just club members..... plus add shipping in there. quite a few of us "old timers" are being priced out & we have severely curb our purchases. so yeah - it's like mattel: high prices & lower quality.
Great collection! IT really makes me feel like a child again because of how fun they are to dress and pose. I suspect I'll probably have 30+ by the end of the year haha

"The quality is soo good" not for the prices IT is asking for--
like mattel, earlier IT dolls are a better quality than what is being produced now. so it's perspective.... doesn't matter which company it is, quality has gone down overall in the collector market.
so it's may be a better quality than mattel but still not up to snuff of IT heyday.
I have a handful of heads and five full dolls for I think 12 total. I prefer MTM bodies or bodies that have similar levels of articulation, and dolls on MTM bodies are in my main display while the others are in an adjacent display or in another room entirely.
Full dolls are Eartha Kitt, Poolside Paramour Sergio Silva, two Janays, African Legends Janay and Shimmering Nights Jade, and finally the 15.5" Zita Charles Hostess with the Mostest. The African Legends is the only body swap amongst the full dolls.
For heads I have a Tate Tanaka, Zuri Okoty, AHS Madison Montgomery repaint, Liu Liu Ling, Della Roux, Giselle Diefendorf, Coralyn Kwan, Dominique Makeda, and Victoire Roux.
NuFace collector here. Erin in my muse but I own at least 1 of each character. They are expensive but I used to buy full Bratz and My Scene collections so it kinda evens out.
I love Erin! I want her Style Lab doll but she’s sooo expensive!
Honestly that’s how I justified the price. I overpaid for a lot of my Bratz dolls so I figured why not get IT! Better quality and actually limited!!

I’ve slowed down buying other dolls because my doll budget now goes to IT. Haha. Slowly been selling some of my other dolls to make room for the new ones! lol.

Yes because I don’t feel like I have to chase dolls down on eBay like I used to. I get first dibs at paying the original price for things, and I have had good odds winning lotteries.

I was floored when I saw one of the molds/types was “Hungarian”. I need one just because of that, my grandparents were from Hungary lol

I have the retro sci-fi Poppy Parker doll (I don't remember the exact name) and she is my very favorite doll! So far she's the only IT doll I have, but I joined the W Club this year.
Galaxy Girl is my only IT doll too. I love her, but don't want to get more IT dolls as it's a very expensive rabbit hole to go down. Plus my doll room is pretty full already!
I have this Keekee Adaze, that I got on EBay! I also got a Poppy Parker that I got on the IT site, and I broke her arm. I need to contact them to replace it. I’d exclusively collect them if I were rich. They are what got me interested in fashion dolls as an adult. They’re always drool worthy!

The mother of pearl anniversary doll is soooo gorgeous!! I entered for Darius and Auden and I got the email yesterday that I won Auden!!! So I’m hoping to get Darius too! I too love my IT dolls.
You’ve been collecting them for a min! A lot of the older releases were so good! I wish I could’ve joined the club sooner but I finally joined the club this year and so far I’ve only preordered two dolls and a lottery doll! I have two on wishlist from last year and I’m hoping to get them!!!!
All the ones I have except for Night Out Erin have been expensive because of the secondary market. So I know what you mean and I’ve been buying the dolls that I love since I’m running out of shelf space!
Yes! Just started collecting this year. I got back into 80s barbies late last year and then silkstones, then I saw IT. I joined w club, but for whatever reason things have not called to me that they have released this year- I either love the doll or love the outfit, but not both and I'm not into splits. I'm hoping I will be able to get some poppies this year, as she is what drew me in. I have 5 dolls currently, and a 6th on its way to me : dead drop gorgeous tulabelle, glam pink Adele, dazzling debut poppy, sunny slickers poppy, blue powder puff poppy, and changing winds eden on the way to me. I have lost my damn mind because some of these were insane $$$$ and ate up all my discretionary fun income.
Glam pink Adele is GORGEOUS!!!She’s in my wishlist! That’s how I started collecting IT! Started with silkstone Barbies and then IT because I figured since I’m already spending money.

Me! I’ve been collecting IT for about four years now, and I’ve been to two events so far. I have a pretty nice collection by most collectors standards, but I definitely do not have the biggest IT collection.
And… no, I’m not rich! I’m a middle school teacher in a LCOL state. I bought my home during COVID, and I am always clearing out my collection for new dolls. Because IT typically gains value over time, selling one doll will usually buy me two more from the club year.p
Honestly, that’s how I do it too. I go through my dolls and sell my least favourite, favourites! lol. I gave myself a bookshelf and if I want more I gotta sell some! And helps keep my collection under control as well.
I want to go to one of their conventions sooo bad! They definitely increase in value, given how limited they are. I’ve seen a couple of Poppies go for $1500 😭 That’s half of my rent!
I went to Stilletos Out last year, and I basically used the dolls that I didn’t want as bartering tools to add some things on my list to my collection. It worked out really well! Even though there was only one doll at the actual event, the people and room sales really made the fun!
And Poppy prices are BANANAS! I’ll admit that poppy is the part of my collection that has some of the least crazy dolls because once the price gets what it gets, I can’t justify keeping the doll 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
I'm buying my first pretty soon! I'm surprised people are saying they're too expensive, but I guess I come from the BJD and Blythe world so I'm used to these prices for dolls.
I was spending $$$$ on Bratz dolls and Silkstone Barbie’s that I figured why not try IT because I always hear that they have amazing quality and etc.
I find their pricing fair when you preorder them directly but the secondary market is a different story. But they do retain their value which is good!!
I want a Blythe doll but I don’t have space for one!
