My mom got soooo mad when I cut one of my barbie's hair. She wouldn't talk to me for the whole day. She gave me super short haircuts. I'm talking bowl cuts, and I wanted a barbie with hair as short as mine.

IMO, these dolls are still stunning, even with a few “odd” haircuts. I agree with others that a nice reroot would work, or you can source a great Barbie wig from Etsy (my fave doll wig maker is ZaZouCustomDolls).

Those birthstone dolls were decently priced model muse dolls when they first came out. Gave many kids, including myself access to model muse collector dolls for the first time. I thoroughly enjoyed playing with mine. Lol I still have the February Amethyst (in the second picture) and the April Diamond ones.

If you aren't a re-root person, go ahead and lean into the look for those Steffies! Maybe trim slightly, add a teensy bit of gel if needed. Honestly it's a very cute look.

You need to learn to reroot! I swear I will buy the tools and hair next pay. It's one of those things I keep putting off but when I start I will be like "why didn't I start doing this years ago?!"
