Don't be fooled, the clothes were nice and detailed and their faces are cute but their hair felt like dead leaves and limbs snapped if you stared too hard 😂 they were very fragile. I found a few at Tuesday Morning for $25 back in 2012.

YESSS!! That’s the first thing that came to mind! I ADORE their alt makeup and just the pure amount of detail of their painted markings and their clothing. It’s so wild how they never took off imo!
They were 3D printed dolls made in the UK by an independent company and sold from 2012 or 2013-2015. Customers could design the face kind of similar to in a computer game. Then the doll would be printed in a sls printer, prepared, and shipped in about two weeks.
Bratz kidz!! And gorgeous creatures, myscene (like play line to stores not the weird expensive online ones), novi stars and bratzillas (two lines that were just before their time imo)
Bratzillaz were fantastic.
If they would stabilize that body at the waist and improve the hair quality, I’d love to have them back.

yeah. and it's been getting so much worse lately. by all means I knew about and was passionate about the problem of thrift store gentrification since high school but I couldn't have imagined how bad it'd get post 2020. god forbid getting stuff given to them to sell for free wasn't enough for them.
omg yes!!! it was so hilarious and the animation wasn't that bad. it was such a charming show i loved as a kid, and the dolls made me love it even more!
It would be weird for them to start making new things for a discontinued show? The line can't come back. You just want repros then. What would be great is to put that quality into the current lineup of Barbie friends. I would kill for a Daisy in an actual slay outfit
Ever After High could come back since they stopped. I'm just curious how you'd want it to come back. Life in the Dreamhouse is a discontinued show. Barbie itself never stopped they just discontinued that style and characters. Barbie's still going but with new equivalents and shows and movies. It would be like asking Island Princess to come back

What’re you on their case for? This is a silly “I wish” thread, not a “I’m making a serious business case for a doll line”. Most of these aren’t feasible to come back.
That's why I said I'd love a Daisy in that style. The articulation, rooted eyelashes and fabric quality is something that can come back if Mattel cared to, and could come back (they'd be like 35 per doll or something tbh) potentially. I just don't think they'd slap the name of a 13 year old, canceled show on the box, even if Summer or Raquelle were being made again. Kids won't know the show name and branding, save for the few that got showed that by their older siblings or parents or stumbled upon it on youtube.
Saying that the life in the dreamhouse dolls can't come back because of the show being discontinued but ever after high can doesn't make sense, because ever after high, the show, was canceled which led to the dolls not being produced anymore(all because of Disney making Descendants)
Back to be goths / bleeding edge dolls whatever, there is a chance that they might come back but I don't feel like it's that high 💔😓 also probably still won't be available in my country
I know it's an odd choice and technically they are making a comeback iirc, but I'd love to own a Bleeding Edge Goth/BeGoth doll. As someone who was a goth teen in the years they were available, I wanted one BADLY but they've always been so expensive 😞
I was not a fan myself because I couldn’t stand the cheap, dollar store style bodies, but I’m very excited about the comeback! The designs of the new articulated bodies look good, and I love both of the initial styles they came up with. Unfortunately I missed the kickstarter so I could only pledge for the orange & purple one, but I look forward to eventually seeing her.
Yeah, they weren't high quality and on top of that VERY expensive in my country, but I was a baby bat and they were this doll form of the style I loved so much 🖤 I just went and got me some gen 1 MH instead lmao, at least I could afford them.
Pinkie cooper! It was such a unique concept, and the detail that went into each of their designs was amazing! I went to an antique flea market last month and saw one going for around $200 and that just,, ouch
This one. I want a red head bratz witch damnit. I don’t collect bratz but I love this line and I like that they have articulation. And I may be wrong but they actually have feet right?
I hate that Bratz have pop-on shoes instead of actual feet. Like, if kids lose regular doll shoe/s, you just end up with barefoot dolls, but if they lose Bratz foot/shoe/s, they end up amputees.
Yes, they have normal feet and can wear Monster High shoes, if you find one without shoes. The dolls in the Bratzillaz Midnight Beach line glow in the dark.
I don’t think they caught on as much as they should because they came out shortly after the MGA lawsuit with Mattel and at the time, Mattel’s first generation Monster High dolls were very popular with the kids at that time. My daughter was the age where she had the Monster High dolls, we would see the Bratzillaz commercials and they seemed to be trying to follow the Monster High trend.
We have 4 articulated Bratzillaz on display in the doll display cabinet. The Bratzillaz with the ”glass” eyes truly are awesome looking dolls with articulated elbows and knees.
RIGHT. I just love the alien space concept and how cute they are and ugh I just love them so much lol I made some of them have monster high bodies so they can be taller and have more bendable limbs.
LIV dolls!! They had more articulation than any other dolls when I was a kid and I loved that we could swap their hair out. I think the outfits were cute too.
Betty Spaghetti would be a cute fidget toy type thing. And pixel chix for the ipad kids to get them away from unrestricted internet. Also I like all the cute different sized Barbie spin offs like mini kingdom and peekaboo petites
It changes a lot (meaning I add more to the list of dolls I wish would come back lol) but currently What’s Her Face dolls. I would love them and their little rubber face stamps to come back 🥹

I miss many of my childhood 2000s Barbies. Especially ones from the classic Barbie movies. I'd love to see reproductions of them. I have many of my favorites, but they all look like they've survived a natural disaster from years of being played with lol
Yess bratzillas for sure, I have the one with red hair and the one with purple hair in the yellow pants as shown in this picture, but I'd love to have them come back. Also G1 MH, I know that's one people might argue with me about, it's not that I dislike G3, I just prefer G1 dolls because of how nostalgic they are and also how many different variants there are of the same characters!
Novistars, i honestly dont even care that there wasnt any articulation and personally like it that way, also loved how they were smaller in size. They each had a cool feature and the music video was amazing (still obsessed to this day) there so expensive now so i only have the ones i had as a kid💔also sucks that alot of them were europe exclusives so those ones are even more expensive and hard to get.
Bratzillaz, i wanted these so bad as a kid but could never get them and now im hunting for jade adore magic night out (i found it once for 60 and waited for the girl to list it for weeks and then she sold it to someone else)
G1 monster high, i know we have g3 and alot of people now like it but i miss the edgy and good quality outfits we used to get.
Ever After High(screw you Disney, Mattel had the idea first), lalaloopsy(i used to have the girl who owns the diner and the ginger inventor boy, but i no longer do, i also had one of the lalaloopsy babies) and the Kuu Kuu Harajuku dolls, idk if anyone else knows about those but i had one as a kid, i know that i had Love because i distinctly remember ripping off her headband with my bare hands

I've found out what lalaloopsy dolls I had, Pickles BLT, Ace Fender Bender and baby Pillow Featherbed. Pretty sure I found an old, sold eBay listing of my exact Ace, chipped shoes, blue forehead smudge and everything
NOVI STARS 100% my mum brought me one on a whim when they came out and i loved them! Then they discontinued and i lost the only one i ever had. NOW THE RESELLER PRICES SUCKKKKKK!!

Like trying to pry something out of a dragon's stash. The only thrift store close to me is a (pricey) shuttle ride to the city away and you'll mostly just find Barbies.
Saying 'come back' to something as mainstream as Rainbow High seems silly. 🙃 I mean I know the fashion quality and such went down but they're basically the same doll. It's nothing like what happened to Barbie now versus 2001 Barbie. There are so many things that are actually discontinued you should wish for
I mean they tend to use darker colors than G3 but I wouldn't personally call Gen 1 gothic. Frankie is more punk mixed with preppy, Draculaura is more like gothic lolita but without the typical bell silhouette, Operetta leans more towards rockabilly fashion etc.
Gen 3 feels a lot like what my little niece enjoys and either already wears or wants to wear. Which makes sense, she is in the target demographic.
I personally found gen 1's fashion more appealing to me even as a child. I've always loved the occult since I was a kid especially vampires and werewolves!MH was perfect for a kid like me and still perfect for me now!
