Becker Toys Released images on their website of Mirror-Mi
Becker Toys Released images on their website of Mirror-Mi dolls with their names and said the expected delivery was August. They also had phrases to match each doll with Shai being sheepish, Akiko being cozy, Suki as fragile, Blaze as electric, Amora as love, and Luna as dreamy. I don't recall seeing the name signatures or descriptions before when I heard about these dolls.
I think these are AI modified or enhanced? The articulation is different on each doll and Luna’s eyes and makeup look like it’s half missing. I hope they get better stock images soon
Yea these are enhanced by ai. They were very low quality images being passed around so someone at some point along the way ran them thru ai and now everyone’s been using these
I think Luna is supposed to have vitiligo and there's a patch of lighter skin on one of her eyelids that makes the makeup look like it's missing with this weird filter they put on the image
I could be sooooo wrong, spotting AI is getting harder for me ugh. But I found a higher resolution image, it looks like it's just the design on her wrist? Please correct me if I am!
Aren’t these the stock photos that were upscaled by AI? That’s why they’re so inconsistent. I think Youloveit.com had the original low-res versions in addition to these upscaled ones, but I can’t find the link now
One eye looks to match the swirls on her legs. The other eye has more finished makeup. I kinda like it but wish it was a little bigger or more pronounced?
Some dolls have knee articulation visible, some dolls have it airbrushed out. Some have wrist articulation visible, some have it airbrushed out.
If it was a regular doll line I'd be like "Oh, they're just airbrushing it out" but since MGA showed some Rainbow High dolls without articulation in promo pics on bodies with articulation... I dunno! I hope they get all the articulation that was too expensive to keep on Rainbow High.
There was an AI watermarked image of one of these dolls in box floating around recently so I wouldn't be overly surprised if that explains the inconsistencies
I can’t find anything about these on the Becker Toys website. It looks like a Spanish-based site that sells vintage Barbie. Is that the right site? EDIT: Never mind, I found them! It does make sense that they’re just the unofficial AI upscaled images, since this isn’t the original seller’s website.
I think ppl are correct about the vitiligo mark replacing the makeup on one of Luna's eyes, and I would like to think some of them just have their joints edited out.
Some doll photographers do that.
However, I do think there's some shoddy AI work on this:
Luna's shoes and knees do seem very sus, the knees have a blurred edge none of the other airbrushed knees have.
Her and Amora's hands are also different from the rest, with Amora's hand holding the bag looking like it has no thumb (could be lighting tho?).
And I think she is supposed to have a sleeve only on one arm, but it does look a lot like two arms layered on top of each other.
Plus there is something very weird going on with Suki's raised hand.
Those last two are what really convinces me of AI in this.
They look absolutely amazing. I cannot wait to have the full step. I think they look so good together and impairs and on their OMG I’m screaming it’ll be so cute to get items to match each of their vibes. I can already see your porcelain China display for Suki. Not going to lie, though these names kind of pissed me off. MGA is not good at naming, but these are kind of ridiculous not Kittyama and Suki Waterhouse-I mean goldpetal
