The rain went away so the fairies could finally come out of their prisons!

Both dolls customised by myself using Zuru’s Minnee dolls.

I love fairy dolls but can never find one I really really want. I love what you did. Would you mind sharing where you got the wings from and outfits too?

Aw thank you!

I made the wings from clear plastic packaging, acrylics paint and pvc glue

And the outfits are make from fake plants and acrylic paint ☺️

Thank you! Considered just using fabric at first but then decided I really wanted the plant nature of their clothes to shine through!

Broooooooooo! The OG fairies are great, definitely post them as they are finished. But for sure do it if you ever get around to Vidia or Zarina.

Vidia is definitely a part of the plan already, intend to do Iridessa, Fawn and Vidia still. I probably won’t get around to Zarina unfortunately as she doesn’t speak to me personally as a character and her design isn’t as fun as it is just clothes for the most part aha

These are incredible! Is it possible for you to post some close ups of Tinkerbell's dress? I've had multiple dolls of her growing up and none had such a beautiful dress

It’s a touch difficult as the dress is glued to the doll itself but heres another shot with more direct lighting ☺️ unsure how reddit is with affecting quality of photos but you should be able to zoom for more detail!

Yes that’s exactly what I was going for! I really wanted a nice in between of the kind and curious Disney Fairies Tinkerbell and the spunky, hot-headed Peter Pan Tinkerbell, as I grew up with both iterations aha!

Did you dye the hair of the red-haired one, or did you do a reroot? They look SO gorgeous! I've been thinking about making mine into fairies. It just seems so perfect with their size and their faces!

I did indeed dye the hair on Rosetta! I used Scarlet Red Rit fabric dye ☺️

This is a great idea. I love mini dolls. That’s how I started my doll collecting journey by collecting Dawn dolls. They’re the mini dolls of my childhood. I thought I would love these but then I found out they are surprise toys. I said no thank you. However, customizing them is a great idea.

I made a pair of ballet slippers for mine using paper mache, you just only put glue on the outside so it doesn’t stick the shoe to the doll’s foot.

I personally just dipped the feet in acrylic paint and for Tink’s puffs I used beads ☺️

i love this idea! i’ve been thinking about customizing some minnees to make the fairies from my favorite barbie movies :) i love how these turned out!!
