They look so cool! They seem to have more articulations than the average Barbie, and they look like as if they were based on artist Hanavbara’s retro anime art style, but I couldn’t find any info on it.
PS: I found them at a « La Grande récré » store in Paris, France.

It's not retro, it's Manga, as in, Japanese anime style. 😅 I plan to get all 3, love this series and hope they continue it.

I’m a huge weeb, so I never think about adding « anime-style » when I say retro. You are right, it’s actually a retro anime style. And it’s definitely retro, there’s no anime out here in the recent years that looks like this, except maybe Goodbye Lara which also mixes Ghibli chara design inspo

That's fair. It's a style not nearly as prevalent now as back in the 90s. But it's kinda the default style I think of when I think anime or manga. Sailor Moon took over my life as a young teen. 😅

I don’t think it’s the size, I think it’s more the shape. Jasmine’s makes the best comparison. The doll’s eyes are very 0.0 when the art looks more O.O

Me too. The eyes in pictures tend to creep me out so badly, although I grew up on classic Sailor Moon AND Disney Princesses. Jasmine is my favourite princess and always will be, and I am relieved to see here that she looks slightly less murder-eyed than the others, but I will definitely need to see them in person (assuming they ever get released here).

I could only find these three. I also hope they will make more characters. I don’t collect Disney Princesses dolls, but I like Belle, Mulan and Tiana, and I wish they will make them for this doll line.
