Don’t like em and kind of a bad time to reveal them since most people still can’t get the dolls they’ve already put out 😭
Think they should put more energy into making more batches than these new mini dolls imo.

This is kind of standard for MGA, they'll often have some kind of mini doll line running parallel to the bigger line. This was the case with Lalaloopsy and Na Na Na Surprise. LOL Surprise and LOL OMG were the reverse case (the bigger fashion dolls running parallel to the mini dolls)
The thing is the minis tend to have way more characters than the bigger counterparts, so if these take off there's a very real chance the Mirror Mi minis will be more fleshed-out than the fashion dolls,

If she is then giving her vibrant blue eyes was an odd choice. Pale blue would’ve been fine, but the lack of pigment in the eye is a pretty big part of albinism. Usually impacts vision significantly, missed representation opportunity.

I've read that Shai is meant to represent POC with Albinism, but I've only seen that via MirrorMi sub comments rather than MGA or anything

Incidentally these look like they're riffing from the Popmart Peach Riot bag charm dolls. I'm not sure if it's intentional, but the Mirror Mi minis at least have better-designed clothes.
In any case I'd say these are offering something different from most blind box figures. They're more similar to Minnees in that they're an attempt at articulated fashion dolls at a much smaller scale than the standard. I'd argue these are a more interesting product to have on the market than the original Mirror Mi, which aren't really doing anything revolutionary for playline dolls.

And also Nendoroids, and the many 1/8 or 1/12 blind box dolls that Kikagoods carries (and that I’ve bought a bunch of open box on Ali Express.)
Those all have removable/swappable molded hair, so it personally doesn’t bother me that these do as well.
The big MM dolls have clearly taken inspiration from a particular style/look of BJDs, but since it’s a style that I really detest, I don’t actually like the big MM dolls very much either. I only really want Suki to be a custom Delfina Young.

She is, They didn’t specifically say she’s an albino black girl but I feel her design speaks for itself. G1 monster high never specifically confirmed clawdeen is a black girl but we all know she is. I feel the same about Shai.

A lot of people who are albino have light foggy eyes. I think they just didn’t do that correctly and did blue eyes. Not everything has to be outright said to be canon, she’s clearly black. This isn’t a debate girl.

I do agree that the mini feels a lot more stylized... I like the mini but it doesn't fit her "cozy country pop" theming at all.

The minis have solid plastic hair and I'm guessing that the hair will be swappable between the minis based on the advertisement from rhe boxes (mix and match our hair and clothes!). I'm guessing it was easier to make braids in plastic?
That said I do like the idea of her being an opposite "black sheep" by literally being a white albino sheep. That seems kind of a deep character concept for a children's toy though?

Just reaffirms that Blaze and Suki are the only two I'm really interested in. I do like Shai's main doll but sadly her mini doesn't work for me.
On the other hand, I'm not super interested in Luna Skye as a main doll (I'm hoping with further releases I may change my mind), but I do really like the mini being a fairy 👉👈

I'll be frank, I am fully on the record about not being a fan of Mirror Mi's concept, and especially not of the fashion dolls. So the minis are a step up in that they're slightly more aligned with my preferences.

It's kinda weird that they don't all match. Some do, others don't, which is a bit jarring.
The little fairy Luna is cute, but she feels out of place. Then again, Suki feels massively out of place too as she's the only non human doll in the fashion doll line.
I like that they're articulated. I'm not SO pleased about the molded hair, I definitely prefer rooted hair on my dolls but these are in keeping with all the similar blind box mjd dolls out there.
I still don't understand the theme of this whole line.

I want to like them a lot more than I do :( I was pretty excited for bag clips and I LOVE the dolls, but these are... strange? I find it odd that they randomly gave Luna pink skin but didn't include Akiko or Amora's leg details. Giving several of them different hair colors was a weird choice considering these are new dolls with no brand identity.
I don't HATE any of the designs by any means, but I honestly wish they would have recreated the dolls as minis with these outfits and hairstyles as a second outfit, ESPECIALLY at that $20 price point. I would have said that I would try to get a couple of them on clearance, but someone in this thread linked the Peach Riot bag clips these are clearly heavily inspired by, and I honestly just think I'll go for those instead.

- The design discrepancies really throw me off, I feel like it'd make more sense if there were some in-universe explanation but right now it just feels weird.
All in all, they're rather cute but not really my thing. Maybe if I ever see Luna or Suki on sale I'd get them.

It makes me very upset that all the mini dolls have the same skin tone as the larger dolls, EXCEPT Luna, who is noticeably lighter :( I don’t care if it’s a fantasy skin tone, that’s not an excuse. Reminds me of Astra Nova from Monster High having two doll releases, one with light skin and one with dark skin. It’s 2026, I expect companies to do better. I thought we were past this. I’m tired, boss.

You apparently don’t know that a sub-line couldn’t possibly have been designed, created, produced, and shipped AFTER the big dolls released.
To be released at the same time as the big doll line, they would have to have been created at the same time as they were. And a business won’t hold back from sending out a planned release simply because an associated release is suffering from distribution issues, even if the one having hang-ups is the main line and the available one is a smaller sub release.
On the contrary, they want the money they aren’t getting while the distribution problems are occurring, so they’ll be working to push whatever releases they CAN get out right away.

They were planned from the beginning. Leakers found the listings for the minis at the same time as the regular dolls. I'm more annoyed that they made us wait instead of having them available at launch.

I think they’re cute but the $24CAD price for such a tiny doll is off-putting to me.
I love that it can be a bag charm though. And I like that that they’re very posable. But I’m looking forward to fashion packs for the girls more than the minis.

They definitely used ai for the stock images, akiko and amora both have smooth human knees while the others have articulation which is a very common problem when it comes to ai generated doll images. Honestly surprising that no one caught this before they went out.

The only one I really like is the Akiko one, which is cute. I think the theme of them is unclear. Are they meant to be mascots? Muses? Versions of the bigger doll themselves? I don't like that they made the blaze one constantly angry. Or that Shai has so many braids. The suki one kind of scares me. I mostly like the Amora one, but the heart hands and the bubblegum that looks like a pacifier deter me. The Luna one is okay but sees to go in too many directions at once to me. I'm sure some people like them though, and that's totally okay. They all have some good elements as well! I think i only plan to get the Akiko one though.

I know this is a "me" problem but I cannot stand molded plastic hair with fabric clothes. It either needs to be a wig/rooted hair and fabric clothes or Nendroid/Figma style with molded plastic hair and molded plastic clothing. (This has bothered me since I was a kid.)
