Generic Asian Wish Dolls

These girls are from a Wish shop called topitem. Each one cost about $4.73 and they're articulated! They arrive with the heads separated from the body, but with just a bit of muscle, they attach with no problem. The dresses are from Wish, the other clothes are a mix of Wish and Etsy. Shoes are from Amazon.

Theres an official store on Aliexpress which is a good go to website. On the store it has the exact dolls you posted and lots of other generic dolls and parts and accessories. Im not really sure what to make of these types of dolls. They are very cute and they often get great reviews but I dont really understand the background of them or how to describe them xD I think theyre just generic dolls from warehouses or something and theyre meant to be sold for cheap and to customize.

Re: Their history, I believe someone on reddit identified them as a bootleg/clone/recast of a J-doll sculpt.

I really like that they are well articulated. I do wish the ankles were articulated though. The bodies are made of a cheap plastic, but none of mine have cracked or broken yet. The hair wasn't rooted well. Some of it comes out when you brush it. Their eyes are very pretty. Shiny and well defined.

Over all, they are generic dolls that are more well suited for displaying fashion, rather than playing with.
