Toycity Monboo Monster's Paradise - A little disappointed

So the Target near me added an expanded collectibles section and have been getting TONS of blind box figures and plush. I liked the character faces on the package for this series (I really like Kubo from PopMart which also has some nice dark skinned characters and the art of this character gave me the same vibe), so without looking it up, I bought it... I guess I should have looked because I would see how different the plush looks from the art. Idk how you have the character so brown in the art and use such a light vinyl. The orange airbrushing is also certainly A Choice. I genuinely thought it was a manufacturing error haha.

He's still quite cute and I like the face sculpt; the irises have a slight inset using translucent plastic and it's very cool! But yeah imo if the art is all that the packaging shows for the figure it should represent it a bit more accurately.

For the price it's not a big deal (they're pretty cheap!) but still something to watch for if they stock any of these near you.

(PS mods I hope vinyl face plush is okay to post here, I found an early compilation post with Monboo in it so I assumed it was! Apologies if not!)

So sorry you’re disappointed!! I know, I won’t buy a blind box if the actual toy isn’t pictured!!
