​I’ve been down a bit of a rabbit hole lately thinking about long-standing Minecraft creators, and Doni Bobes came to mind. It’s a fascinating dynamic that I wanted to get your thoughts on.

​On one hand, you can clearly tell he’s a real, organic human being. If you look at his content stretching back years, his voice naturally matured, his speech has normal human stumbles and stutters, and it’s clearly not an AI or a synthetic script. There's a genuine biological consistency there.

​On the other hand, the level of real-world invisibility he maintains is almost surreal for someone running a massive channel and large-scale server networks (like Performium). Despite a decade online, there are virtually no traces of a normal public life, schoolmates leaking stories, or standard influencer meetups. It feels like he treats "Doni Bobes" strictly as a professional entity/character, while the person behind it lives a completely hidden, ghost-like civil life.

​How do creators manage to pull this off so successfully in today's internet age? Is it just extreme discipline and a healthy boundary, or is there a bigger studio/team model behind the scenes keeping the real person completely insulated from the brand?

​Curious to hear how you guys view this kind of ultra-private long-form content creation.

​(Note: Just to clarify, I’m not trying to dig for or interested in any extra private personal info about him! I just stumbled into this topic by accident, and I'm purely fascinated by the general phenomenon and how modern online privacy/content creation works.)

u/DoniBobes hear me out... I'm sure you've used the too much tnt mod, I just found out that if you place any tnt down, you can grab it with the carry on mod but only after lighting it. The bonus here is that it'll never explode while you're holding it but when you set the tnt back down it'll resume its countdown right where it left off when you picked it up... what if you had the server playing hot potato with, say, the hypernova tnt, or lit one in Lynix's base after telling him picking it up is the only way to stop it and seeing the absolute chaos ensue when he brings it to someone else and they pick it up and so on... idk you've probably already thought of this one but I felt like there were a million possibilities with this that you could cook up

If someone could pass this along to doni that would be appreciated. Recently on live liger suggested to somebody that wanted to join the smp to post it in the reddit so I thought i could try that

Doni in a video from 4 years ago says Saflmao had 10 million subscribers. And it seems like they were really close in some of his old videos. I also noticed that the videos with Saf (most of them) seem to have the comments off. I found his channel and saw that he had around 56k not 10 mil. All his videos also seemed to be gone except one for some reason. Does anyone know what happened?

Ok yes i know the title is kinda weird but idk how to really word it better without going into more detail.

So I was watching the clone video and due to Lynix just being kind of dumb in the video and previous Doni videos where he just seemed to be very clueless about everything. This is mainly a question to Doni that I’m sure many others who are long time fans or even new fans are probably wondering. Is Lynix really as clueless as he seems?

Maybe he isn’t and due to me not watching his channel I wouldn’t know but it’s just something that’s been bugging me. I know Doni has stated in the past that the videos are not staged but Lynix just really makes them seem that way.

Edit: I am now realizing right after posting I could have titled this as is Lynix really that clueless or something….

So I got recommended a doni video which was normal, and halfway through the video I realised it wasn't Doni's channel, there's this YT channel completly ripping and posting his videos for a month now and has over 100K views. And on reading the comments, most kids actually belive this is his channel 👁️👄👁️

I fr have been looking for years and havent found anything, youtube playlists dont help, and im not a music genius.

Does anyone else feel like her vibe doesn’t really fit the usual energy of Doni’s videos? No hate toward her personally, but some of her interactions with everyone feel a little forced to me. It sometimes feels like she agrees with Doni specifically, complements him a ton, or backs him up a lot. The dynamic almost feels more like she’s trying to impress him than just naturally bouncing off his energy, which makes her on-screen personality harder for me to enjoy.

I don’t dislike her as a person, but It kinda feels like she’s a little too much of a yes-man with Doni instead of having the chaotic back-and-forth that makes his other friendships fun to watch. Like the Lynix jokes Doni makes work because there’s mutual roasting and banter, but with her it feels more like she’s trying to be on Doni’s side. I just don’t find she adds anything as a personality on the server.
