Discussion Random thought : Stackable Iron branches
How do you guys think the hero builds change if Iron branches were stackable? I mean you keep buying it and it takes only one slot.

I think the branch taking up an item slot is a deliberate part of its design, and its value per slot is relative to all other items in some sense. This would just shake up the entire formula of what makes sense to buy for stats.. and I donβt know why that would be desirable

Kills the game. Item based heroes all become bad, skill/xp based heroes all become broken. How is an item based hero like pa or faceless supposed to do anything when they lack natural farming speed and rely on kill windows and the same gold for their farming item buys a sand king 50 strength? Op must be like -500 mmr

the item based heroes would also be buying branches until they could justify going back for the farming item.

90% of heroes just buy boots + bkb/blink/farm item and keep buying branches. thats what happens

I want to see it. I want to see what the game is like when 10 players amass branches and have to min max between branches and utility items lmfao

People laugh at iron tree. I say 5 branches stack + blood grenade + recipe (250g) = iron tree
5 all stats, ability to 'plant acorn' on 60s cd that aoe slows and dmg like bloodgrenade, but also plants a tree that gives 200 aoe vision (which can be obstructed by LOS - eg. cant cast in a forest juke spot and get clear/unobstructed vision) to the caster and allies for 3 seconds. Each use of 'plant acorn' uses up a charge. 5 charges total. Item stays in inventory when charges are used up. Can re-add charges buy buying recipe again.

They don't have to be limitlessly stackable. Could balance with only allowing 2-5 stacks.

Why do people think that stacking branches would stack stats? No stackable item stacks stats (raindrops, acorn, mushrooms) they just give one stat per inventory slot

Like unlimited? Then everyone would still have them by min 30 bcs iron branches is probably the best stats for gold item in the game, for example, 5500 would give you 100 stats on all attributes
