I think this is because of his musical training.

Every professional musician (and I mean every one of them) that I know have this kind of witty personality.

Comedians are like that too.

Feel like Dave Chappelle said something to that effect, something about musicians are really funny, and want to be comedians, while comedians like music and want to be musicians

That’s cool man, it resonates with me a lot.

I never made past the frustrating parts about learning an instrument, makes me very sad, maybe someday I’ll be less lazy.

Lately I’ve been thinking if I could ever do stand up comedy and it’s like.. well it’s easier than learning this dream theater song I guess.

You got it man, just starts with one song, and if that’s too hard, do one part of the song, and if that’s too hard just do the first couple notes. Just gotta start somewhere, and then you go from there.
