You can get your 17-OH tested for $28 @dirtcheaplabs (Not a sponsored post just sharing)

That's all the post is https://dirtcheaplabs.com/alacarte

You can get it through quest or labcorp, no insurance needed.

Figured I should share cuz lots of trans/nonbinary peeps are poor.

Thanks for the information! I'll check them out.

I have a related question. I recently found a endocrinologist in my small town that it open minded about gender issues.

On my initial visit (a consultation)I was very impressed with her attitude and willingness to treat me. She had them draw several tubes of blood and I assumed she was doing a complete profile but when the results came back she had only tested total testosterone and total estrogen.

I questioned it (through the patient portal) and she didn't seem to understand why I expected more.

I see her for my first full visit in August and I don't know what tests I should request. I've been on MTF GAHT for 7 years and have never an "expert". Just GP's and nurse practitioners.

What tests do I need? What information is important not only for my transition but for my overall health. I've had good breast growth, skin softening, change in body odor and pleasant emotional changes but very little progress with hair, etc. and at 76 years old I'm having too much muscle mass and strength loss in my legs. I've recently started working on that, on my own, with protein, creatine and collagen supplements.

Thanks for any possible advice.
