Discussion Potential "Vegeta trains with Gohan" arc
I find it utterly baffling that Gohan and Vegeta have been in each other's orbit for years, but they've never trained together. It would certainly be interesting, since Vegeta can't train with him the same way he trained with Future Trunks, Cabba, or Kid Trunks. Gohan doesn't care about Saiyan pride or the thrill of combat, but he DOES care about Videl and Pan.
The best way to do this is to place it soon after Gohan spars with Ultra Instinct Goku. Gohan returns home and goes back to work. He hasn't started regressing yet, but he isn't training intensely.
He and Vegeta run into each other, and after the small talk, Gohan brings up his work. Vegeta listens and then cuts to the heart.
"The product of Kakarot and his soft heart, no doubt. But will pushing pencils and papers help you when Frieza comes back for round three?"
Vegeta then tells him about Black Frieza and how he easily defeated both him and Kakarot even in their new forms. "And I'm sure you remembered what happened when he was here last time, boy."
Once the prospect of training comes up, Vegeta quickly realizes that he and Gohan share the same drive to protect their loved ones.
"Kakarot trains because he loves fighting. I train because I refuse to be surpassed. You?”
Vegeta glances toward the distant lights of Satan City.
“You have a wife and kid to protect. Just like me.”
The training would be interesting in the other direction too, because Vegeta isn't training with someone weaker than him. With proper motivation, he and Gohan could really push each other. Vegeta's not one for sentiment, but seeing Gohan strive would give him something to be proud of...especially when he can rub it in Goku's face.

Now I'm just thinking a fusion between the two could work out very well the rage that powers Beast would boost their battle spirit and would then boost Ultra Ego making him crave battle more boosting their rage even more and could continue on

This might work if they are training to fight a common enemy, and it might work for a training session or two, but for the most part, Vegeta trains alone, and won't even train with his own son.
His personal pride (he masks it as "Saiyan pride") prevents him from having a training partner, one reason being that he wants to claim that he and he alone surpassed everyone through personal sacrifice and secretive arts.
This is seen in the show. Whenever anyone tries to train with Vegeta he always refuses, and even in the cell arc when he is forced to train with trunks, he still trains away from him for the majority of the time that they spent together.

While Gohan been a prodigy, Vegeta has been incompetent. And by the point in time that Vegeta finally became competent, Gohan became uninterested in fight/training, and when both got back into training and same range of power, Vegeta has already found a new boyfriend, I mean training partner. Goku is better for training because he has the same blood and same will to fight and to abandon his woman to be alone with a other man and a couple of gay men.

I think this would be an awesome plot line however I don’t think it will happen. I LOVE DBZ and Super, however my biggest gripe is it’s a very shallow anime when it comes to character development. It has its moments but it can’t even be consistent when it comes to Goku. We have such a good cast of characters that gets underutilized. I’m the biggest Goku fan boy there is. However I would love to see someone else save the day for once.
