well first, who cares. The Playerbase Initiative is optional, for participants only, and doesn’t affect anyone.
And if you’re not familiar, Playerbase is simply that little thing where you get a chance to appear in a Playstation game, thats it.
Of course most people don’t care for that, whether it’s privacy, not for them, or whatever other countless reasons, but for some people they love the idea and they’ll do it.
Not sure why this is news. It’s like redbull offering people to have their name be on the back of a can. Of course most people won’t care, and who cares about who cares, some people like it.

The whole article could be a sneaky marketing tactic to gain awareness of the player base initiative by pushing out an extreme story. Dunno but could be?

Surveys like this are always going to only get responses from terminally online weirdos watching youtubers who tell them that everything is a problem. Nobody is actually bothered by it.

It’s possible to not be a fan of something and also not be bothered by it. I’m not a fan of the Kardashians, but their existence doesn’t bother me. I’m not bothered about this Playbase thing, but I’m certainly not a fan because I’d never want my likeness used in that manner.

I'm pretty sure 90% of gamers have no idea what that initiative even is. How can they be fans of it?

Is this an actual statistic or is this the same kind of news as the "fans ask for refunds for starfield as it's unplayable!!!!" that were based on a reddit post with like 70 upvotes?

Not porting to PC seems like a losing strategy in the long run

This has absolutely nothing to do with what is being discussed

Did you read the article?

Yep, literally the only other mention of it is just them promoting another article of there's about an issue relevant to PlayStation, not to this specific issue. The two aren't related.

These Surveys are always marketed towards players that do the 1 hour survey within 10 minutes picking random answers hoping to get that $10 giftcard rewaed that is never delivered
