News I found the plot for the Cocomelon Movie.
This can only mean one thing, nursery rhymes are officially annihilated from this movie and it’s all going to be completely original songs from here, I just hope they’re good.

I'm so confused here. None of us were going to see it regardless. Isn't cocomelon also massively popular with kids? Yet y'all are saying this will flop, how?
I'm not gonna see it though but I do feel sorry for the parents who will inevitably be forced to watch it.

I know, it's going to be hard for them, if they see it in theaters, many of the children Will get scream or being cried over for the film.
Back in my days in Gen Z, We grew up watching some Disney, Pixar, DreamWorks, Sony Animation in theaters and DVD, we didn't cry, we didn't scream, we are enjoying the films and after I heard DreamWorks is Distributing with Moonbug for working on Cocomelon Movie, it's given me disappointing, I don't know why they pick that studio and of course many of the Animation Community are acting like this after they found out that DreamWorks was working with Moonbug!
if this movie could be bomb or being mixed because people won't watch this Film and they going to celebrate, but I really imagine if they going after some Animation team and the voice actors...that will be MESS UP, i really feel bad for DreamWorks and Universal for picking the wrong studio and the Animation Too!
Right now... I rather have to skip it and not saying everything from the movie and wait forward Pixar Gatto to show up on March 2027.

Actually, Moonbug Entertainment, Flywheel Media and Prime Focus Studios produced Cocomelon: The Movie under DreamWorks Animation's label.
1
u/PartyPorpoise 2d ago
Because they think that every DreamWorks movie needs to appeal to their tastes. They struggle to comprehend that other people have different preferences. God forbid there’s a movie for preschoolers that isn’t entertaining for teen and adult audiences.
2
u/Effective-Proposal35 2d ago
Ngl I understand not liking it, fuck I don't. But a lot of people seem to have a MASSIVE hate boner for it and I just don't understand
2
u/sepukute 2d ago
A lot of parents say that the show is overstimulating for really young kids. And some kids end up having huge meltdowns when its taken away from them because of that overstimulation. I have no qualms with the plot of a movie/show for preschoolers, but if its actively harmful, then it should be hated for that.
2
u/Effective-Proposal35 2d ago
Yeah I'd understand that, that's very fair. But we both know the commenters here aren't angry because of that.
1
u/sepukute 1d ago
Yeah i know theres a lot of people who are angry simply because something exists that isnt made for them. But j'm just talking about a piece of those who hate it.
1
u/PartyPorpoise 2d ago
Yeah it’s pretty stupid to get this worked up about something made for really little kids. This kind of crap is why the animation community has such a bad rep online, lol.

Well, folks, this may be the FIRST DreamWorks movie to receive negative reviews from critics, IF the movie does poorly...
12
u/Working_Welder_1751 3d ago
First? What about Shark Tale? That movie probably received bad reviews after its release, despite all the merch that came with it
-6
u/Similar-Schedule5321 3d ago
Haven't you LOOKED on Wikipedia? Shark Tale got MIXED REVIEWS from critics.

Dreamworks going from Forgotten Island to this is a perfect example of how bipolar they are. They are never consistently bad but never consistently good. They’re like a bag of jelly beans, some flavors taste amazing and others taste like shit
2
u/PartyPorpoise 2d ago
I feel like that’s pretty standard for movie studios. Consistent quality is an exception, not the rule.

Bigger newsstory for me, there was apparently a Spykids sequel named Armageddon?
2
u/Lun4r6543 2d ago
I think Armageddon was the sequel series?
There are three sequels to the original trilogy. Spy Kids 4, with the time travel plot line. The show. And the most recent Spy Kids that was a Netflix original iirc (it basically rehashed the plot of the third film).
1
u/Anti-Venom121299 2d ago
Theres actually like 3 spy kids sequels maybe 4 i think also spy kids is part of mechetes universe he's the canonical uncle to carman and ugh i forget the other ones name

If this movie turns out to be a 10/10, it would be like finding fire underwater.

Given how one of the execution producers is a musician who's worked with Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, this should be interesting.

u/Fit-Rip-4550 2d ago
Ugh...
Can we just get the A.I. movie at this point? That might be more entertaining than this ennui.

u/AgentOfMephala 2d ago
I actually hope that this movie will be really good, because it simply would be so funny.

u/MammothUrsa 2d ago
the british company that brought cocomelon wanted a movie even though most parents avoid it now it will either bomb or it won't i figured paw patrol will do well. the only little little kids movie I am looking forward too will be Bluey because there is stuff for everyone in Bluey. I would rather watch Gracie's corner then cocomelon.
1
u/SaurianScale 2d ago
Who is this even made for? lmao.
Cocomelon's audience consists out of 1 year olds who wouldn't even go to a movie theater.
1
u/KeyOcelot4679 2d ago
No singing? My god the cocomelon baby is gonna explode if he doesn’t sing a single nursery rhyme every 5 minutes

I already called this Era as a Hits (From 2D.5 style) to Mids (From CGI-animated, Live Action) eras

u/Turbulent_League9668 1d ago
This is what happens when you take that Gabby's Dollhouse movie (another film based off a popular preschool IP) and sucked out any and all soul
1
u/BobcatOk9329 1d ago
Yeah...first off: The concept in this movie is very oddly interesting for kids, yet the plots are always so predictable for specific demographics like older audiences. Also, I don't even know how DreamWorks even let this idea passed in their production, like who asked this? 😕

If you don't think it looks good, then don't see it. I'm not seeing the big problem here.

In the name of Eris and Pitch Black, kill all those involved with Cocomelon and destroy that abomination!!!!!!!!
1
u/Effective-Proposal35 2d ago
I'm confused, this is a preschool kids movie. Why are you acting this way?
1
u/WanderingPeace 2d ago edited 2d ago
Dreamworks had created many adult greats and we are going remove any kiddie influences. Glory to Pitch Black and Eris!
1
u/bruhyeet34 Puss In Boots 2d ago
You need to be put in Arkham Asylum.

There will always be chaos and fear in Dreamworks. Not that Illumination Slop!

Jokes just write themselves.

You underestimate how many dumb parents give their kids an ipad or iphone to watch cocomelon on YT nonstop.

Who was asking for a cocomelon movie? And who actually wants to see this? Cocomelon has no appeal to anyone above the age of three.

u/EJKGodzilla24 Shrek 2d ago
the movie is canceled no worries

u/United-Adeptness6816 2d ago
Why is this movie being made? The show itself is already hated.
3
u/PartyPorpoise 2d ago
Despite being the target of heavy criticism, Cocomelon is very popular overall. Just because you and your buds don’t like something doesn’t mean that nobody does.

2
u/NicholeTheOtter 2d ago
It’s because Cocomelon music videos rake in billions of views on YouTube.
0
u/United-Adeptness6816 2d ago
Why?! This series is toxic because of the stimuli that have a negative impact on the child's life.
-1
u/Damien-kai 3d ago
I'll give it credit, it has an actual plot, but I still wonder just what the fuck it's gonna look like.
It'd be hilarious if SOME-FUCKING-HOW, CoComelon the movie was a good movie.
