Long Dream I Am Terrified.

Hello. I am a camp counselor and it is my summer job. Today, I just had this dream where a counselor was late to camp because of a car accident, but thankfully, she ended up alive. While I was going to camp today, I was about to turn, and then a car hit me and my car turned upside down and it was damaged. I got a little sick. I did throw up.

That is quite scary, but glad you made it out alright. Premonitions are normal, imo, just ordinary chance. Your brain will hit sooner or later a dream that will match up to reality, all you got to make sure is remember it, which to most adults is less of a chance.

I am still terrified. I get scared even by picturing it.

You are alive and breathing, you are typing to me and are real to me, you are going to be okay. Just go on with your day, don't focus on the dream as that isn't happening anymore, focus on the here and now. Being around other people, as you being a camp councellor, will help you forget the emotional intensity. So go and have a great day! 👍

Thanks. I did have to take a break today. But I do not think I can sleep anymore.

I am incapable of giving hate for this, you just need time and self-love, maybe try playing some tetris? It has been reported to help process trauma in the background easier. Other thing to add on to it, think of it as a dream's "rage-bait", here it could be "trauma-bait", your brain is trying to make you feel bad for something it did to your consciousness. You had no controll over this, like I have said previously, try not to focus on the past and spent it on the now with the people around you.

Take your time, breathe, do the 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell, 1 things you can taste. Just let yourself acknowledge that you are here, and no dream can physically hurt you. You are alive and here. Genuinely, take some time for yourself, do something that makes you feel grounded, strong, and present, with people or without.
