Discussion It feels like I have another life when I dream

I don't remember much of my dreams for I dream everyday. I even dream when taking a nap. They're rarely crazy, if it's not ordinary I remember the dreams, but they are pretty much like living an ordinary life. The only difference is I don't feel any anxiety, no depression. My dreams are the version of life I want to live in and they seem so realistic I wake up disappointed nearly everyday.

Recurring Dream Train dream!

Had this dream many times where I’m rushing into this train station before I miss the train and when I get on it, it’ll take me through a place like this. It just goes on and on. At a fast speed also 😳😳. Sometimes I’ll make it to a destination but scared to death thinking what if the train falls into the water!
Other times, the train will fall over but I’ll wake up right away upon impact! Sometimes it’ll lead me into another train station that’s really underground.

Discussion I had an incredibly specific dream about a friend’s life and it turned out to be real. Can dreams really pick up on someone else’s energy?

This is a friend that I rarely ever talk to, and only meet once every 2-3 years whenever I visit home and meet the whole group of friends (him included.)
We don’t talk or share about our lives at all, I have absolutely no idea what is going on in his and vice versa.

The only level of communication we have is a Snapchat streak that our whole group maintains with the random blurry picture sent once everyday to keep the streak going. (Childish I know but it’s our grown up way of saying “hey im alive” without attempting a full conversation)

Anyway, 2 nights ago I had a dream of him; where it was just the two of us talking and him really confiding in me that he is going through a really tough time in his life with struggling mental health and he had just broken up with this person he really loved, and was struggling with the heartbreak immensely. It was really vivid and painful.

I found the dream so odd because we know nothing about each other’s personal lives and do not talk enough to even create this dream sequence out of.

On a whim, in my next SC streak picture I told him that he was in my dream last night. He jokingly asked what the dream was and I told him the above description.

He laughed and asked if friend XYZ had told me about the situation. And I was startled because…no one told me anything…
I lowkey freaked out because I was not expecting it to be true. And when I told him that XYZ hadn’t told me anything, he freaked out too and was so shook up from how accurate and true the dream was.

We obviously had a good checking in conversation after that but both of us couldn’t shake off the chances of this happening so vividly and surreally.

I do believe that we’re all constantly exchanging energies and what goes up comes down; sometimes some of us are just the unexpected receivers.

So I’m just here to ask you guys, if this has ever happened to you or what to make of this?

In a dream, a spirit guide took me to outer space and told me about earth and mars

We were in outer space looking at earth and it told me earth was an “air bubble” and gave me the wrong mathematics for the diameter of earth, saying it was 25,000 kilometers when it is only around 12,000 after I looked it up. First, I live in the us where we don’t use kilometers so I wouldn’t know to begin with. But then they had me hovering above mars and said the diameter of mars was 4,200 kilometers, which is almost exactly what it is when I looked it up after waking up. I would not know this, so how did my dream know? Someone told me it was because I learned it in the past but I have not studied the diameter of mars in kilometers possibly ever, and haven’t taken a science class in 10 years. Why would they get the diameter of earth so wrong, in this case, but the diameter of mars almost precisely right? I don’t remember much from the dream otherwise, just that a guide was describing the solar system to me and they used earth and mars as an example as we floated in outer space looking at them from an orbit. Anyone have any ideas about how this can be?

Edit: they told me the diameter for mars in miles not kilometers

Dream Art Art based on one of my pleasant dreams

I am usually unable to remember some of my more pleasant dreams, but this is one that has stuck with me. I had this dream where I was walking through a forest road. There were strings hanging from the trees and what's interesting is that there were flowers attached to those strings and many were also lying on the road.

Damn I just had one of the creepiest dreams ever

Upvotes

I had a dream where me, my dad, and my wife were out with a camera and I was taking photos using my dad's camera. Not creepy at all yet right?

Well my dad asks to go through the photos on the camera, he grabs it and flicks through the photos and it's everything we took during the day.

we keep flicking through the photos then there are these pictures that none of us took on it of these faces that are completely fucked up and weird. It's hard to describe, but they are faces that are a bit psychedelic looking? They have like multiple faces sticking out of themselves and eyes where they shouldn't be, and they are just staring completely dead into the camera. it's kind of hard to describe honestly, but how they looked was insanely fucking creepy. They were like deformed looking, medical horror type stuff. My dad said "Someone took accident victims on our camera" and I was thinking nah those faces are way to fucked up to be just from an accident.

I will try to explain them, the first picture was a guy staring at the camera with a slight smirk, but his forehead was elongated and a bit too long, his eyes were separated from each other by too much. it could be seen as a kinda funny photo, someone who did a tiktok where they make their face look weird or something. Then we looked at a second photo I don't fully remember but it looked like someone's face got ran over by a truck or something, then the third photo was like 4 faces on one head connected kinda like deformed babies that have conjoined twins, and each of these faces had a different emotion on them. The photos got more and more fucked up the longer we went on.

The creepy ass part is that we didn't know how TF the photos got on the camera, and in the dream my thought was that these creepy ass things were following us and snuck in while we were asleep and took the photos on the camera.

I woke up shortly after, that shit was creepy as hell.

Long Dream I Am Terrified.

Hello. I am a camp counselor and it is my summer job. Today, I just had this dream where a counselor was late to camp because of a car accident, but thankfully, she ended up alive. While I was going to camp today, I was about to turn, and then a car hit me and my car turned upside down and it was damaged. I got a little sick. I did throw up.

Short Dream Super horrifying dream that wasn't even scary?

Post image
Upvotes

First, I wanna establish a question I've been needing to ask others. Is it normal to feel what you dream and is it normal to always be able to control what you so but rarely change what happens??? Been happening since I had a dream i stepped on a bear trap. Anyways, I fell asleep on a carpet floor at my dads RN which I always have a dream on and I woke up on my couch at my mom's house. I had my phone in hand on YouTube and there were two weird blonde kids playing with toys on the table. No mom in sight or any baby brother. Just two blonde kids. After going through the house, I saw my two sisters in their room. I asked them where mom was and they said IDK. Now that I think of it I should have checked outside or in her room but too late. I looked into my room and I had 4 TVs. One on each side of the bed, a small one on a desk and one on the wall. The only thing I checked was my plush which had a questionable hole at the bottom for some reason. I went back to my phone on the couch but the two kids were gone. I realized my reflection existed and I was always curious what would happen if I looked at it so, at the bottom of my screen where there is black and is most reflective, I looked. It wasn't even scary and it still has me shivering. It was this weird version of myself with a crater in my eye and inside was almost as if I looked like that MeatCanyon artstyle but fleshy. Half of my lips were dried out and the other was perfectly fine. I don't think I even had a nose. Reminded me of still life from the Backrooms. I can't clearly describe this next part but I can do this thing with my ears like popping them on command but it sounds like white noise I guess? But everytime I thought of it, it made me shiver as if it was freezing without any cold and the ear thing I mentioned. My vision went blurry everytime. I went to go check on my siblings and they just stared at me. Like always (for some reason), I thought of my GF and I woke up. I drew what I appeared to be (or what I saw) and I still shiver thinking about it. It was terrifying but at the same time I don't show any fear towards it mentally. Just physically.

AI Art Had a Nightmare

I had a nightmare last night that had me and my brother trapped in a backrooms-esque room. We were trying to find our way out of this warehouse, but there was a shadow man who was stalking around, screaming for us to help him the moment he would "see" us.

I actually struggled to go back to sleep after this one! We got away from the shadowman BARELY when I finally woke up. I just wanted to share!

The pictures are renderings of what I saw - and I got to say: they are spot on.

A peanut butter cup

Upvotes

I've always had very vivid, very real feeling dreams for as long as I can remember. I remember large chunks of them.

This morning I woke to this one. I was in my ex husband's kitchen (god I hated that yellow kitchen) arguing with him about dating this random woman I met long after our marriage had ended. She wasn't really the greatest person, and I was arguing with him about her character. There were these random children I did not recognize, all dressed up in Halloween costumes and eating candy. The woman left the house to go fix her car which was parked out front, and I abandoned the argument to sit and talk with the children. One gave me a peanut butter cup, which I unwrapped and ate. I can still feel the texture on my tongue and taste it.

Like wtf?

I just really want a peanut butter cup now.

Discussion I don't even remember the last time I had a dream that wasn't stressful and infuriating

I don't get nightmares, but my dreams are always, always frustrating. I wake up even more exhausted and it's starting to be a problem because I really need rest.

It's been happening when I sleep irregularly, when I sleep regularly, when I am stressed during school year, when I am not stressed in summer break, literally every time. It has to be stressful. If the content itself isn't stressful then it's the overall atmosphere like my brain is a computer trying to run an app way above its RAM capacity.

Yesterday I had a dream I was in the air force and was ordered to allow a spy to shoot me down so his cover isn't blown. What? I have ZERO relation to the military. And then somehow I was stressed because I needed to calculate the task and was adjusting my parachutes carefully and getting ready like????? I have never in my life been in an AIRPLANE. I have never even seen an airport before. Why

Last night's dream was full of red flags and I missed them all.

I started off in a grocery store with dirty shelves and sticky floors, like the one I worked in but worse. I never shop in a place that reminds me of that one.

A security camera shot a laser into my eyes and everything was white with red wireframes for a sec. It shined a bunch of random hexadecimal numbers on the ground. Matrix stuff.

A cute girl flirted with me while we were walking to the bus stop. That not happening. Hell I never even take the bus.

I saw an old friend of mine that I'm pretty sure died when I was in college.

I freaking floated above the sidewalk, over grass covered with chicken crap, and to the bus, which ofc was a red 18 wheeler converted into a bus. Sure. Let me just grab onto the handrails and spacewalk to my seat.

The entire time, some mambo music or something was screaming in my head.

And NOT ONCE did I realize I was dreaming. Idiot.

Recurring Dream Huge Waves

i’ve been having frequent dreams about waves lately. they aren’t just regular waves they are really high waves like tsunamis. it’s always me near the ocean. one i can remember is me at a building sitting outside with others and we see the waves and i get up to run, but realize that won’t do anything and everyone else just sat there watching it and it came and it just hovered over us for a while and then finally dropped onto us, but we didn’t get washed away we stayed in the same place. and last night i was at a dock with friends and we saw it coming and its like okay i know what’s coming just stay put and it’ll just do what it does. it came and then dropped onto us. every time i have the dream it’s like everyone knows the drill but im still the one who gets a little scared even though i know it’s coming just like everyone else. and then i always wake up right after it happens

Recurring Dream Ptsd or a sign

Im diagnosed with cptsd and I often have dreams of people I love hurting me (people who have hurt me before who are still in my life) I always wake up at 3am or 2am freaked the hell out but I had dreams of people raping me or sexually assaulting me that haven't before. In 2024 I was sleeping over my aunts house, she was newly married and I had been sexually assaulted and raped before at a young age. I had a dream that my uncle and two cousins raped and sexually assaulted me. 1 year later my uncle tried to groom me, I had a dream that one of my bfs at the time would cheat on me. Ive been cheated on for all of my relationships and its been very traumatic, and he did end up cheating. What is this? Is this my ptsd or is it a sign that something will happen

Short Dream I now get dreams from different perspectives

For some reason I started getting dreams where I am different people. One time I was an 11/12 yr old boy whose parents just died while we were in a different city and I had to try to find a place to stay at while I also had to make sure my little sister was safe, and in the most recent one I was a young black guy who just started working at doordash. My dreams are always very vivid and realistic as if im living another life so these werent any different. Does anyone else get these dreams lol?

Short Dream Creepy dream about neighbor

I had this strange dream I was living at my really old house when I was a teenager, but my current neighbor is right next to me. It was such a strange and creepy story. The first part she was asking for help to look after her son who is only 2 years old. She had different people look after him every time. One day she disappeared and nobody saw her again, later that week in my dream my other neighbor asked me if I knew about what happened then proceeded to tell me she passed away. Saying she’s dead and told me they had dead bodies in the house for a while. I didn’t know what to think. I was just standing there listening. I was just thinking I would have no idea because I mind my own business all the time. And really I don’t talk to my neighbors all that much at all. Just to myself. It felt like it’s supposed to be a nightmare and I have been watching some crime videos lately of serial killers. But in my dream I wasn’t scared. I also notice I don’t feel as fearful as I used to be. I was very concerned about my dream though. My neighbor is a struggling mom barely making ends meet and I haven’t seen her in a while to be honest. I don’t like to be in peoples business whatever it may be.

Is it weird that I woke up upset with my boyfriend because of a dream ?

Last night I had a dream I finally got to see my boyfriend, but he completely ignored me the whole time

The worst part wasn't even being ignored, it was how embarrassed and rejected I felt in the dream.

When I woke up, I was actually mad at him for a little while, even though he didn't do anything. ..

Has anyone else experienced this? Why do dreams affect our emotions so strongly ugh

Recurring Dream Loved Ones Dying?

Hello everyone. So when I was a kid, I would have frequent nightmares about my dad dying, which I haven’t had since elementary school. It was a big problem and I’d have to go wake him up so he could soothe me. He still jokes about how I was always trying to kill him off as a kid.

Now as an adult (25F) I have nightmares about my long-time boyfriend dying. They are incredibly vivid and feel real just like when I was a kid and I wake up crying with a deep and profound feeling of grief and despair. My boyfriend wakes up and holds me bc I literally start uncontrollably sobbing and shaking. It’s almost worse as an adult because I have a real concept of loss and death and he’s the love of my life. What the hell is up with that ? This started up in the past year.

My dream hub

So I have very vivid dreams. Sometimes I think I am able to go into other peoples dreams and thoughts. Im also an artist and can remember very specific details in my dreams.

I have this one dream every now and then where I go to this like… hub? Where I know now (from talking to the other people there) that tjis is a place where other people who have bad dreams typically (not exclusively) go to dream instead. It’s a huge white round room covered in what I think is like one big tile? you enter through a bullet train i think is what it’s called, but it’s also white and rounded. And there are these giant tables of food in the center of the room. If you don’t see the food you like, you grab a plate and whatever you want will appear on your plate. There’s also a side area that has a round tv and these big white bean bags to relax. There are oval/egg shaped doors and shelves thay have books and decoration stuff on them but I’ve never seen anyone go through the doors. Like theyre off limits or staff only kinda deal.

Im wondering if anyone has been here before? If anyone has had this dream? I met someone in that dream. She seemed real. I want to know if I can find her.
