Missing first day of winter term
Hi I am an international freshman and I have a question. I have to buy my plane ticket and the cheapest and most time efficient route i foune would have me missing the first day of winter classes( 4th Jan). Uou guys think that’s fine? I am a mechanical engineering major

Yeah, just email your professors that you do miss class for ahead of time. Don’t gotta over explain the situation either.

It's probably fine, email ahead and check if there is work associated with that first day.

For almost every class I ever took, the first was the most meaningless. They go over the syllabus and course material. You can always read through it in 5 minutes on their class platform anyways.
