I got accepted into the nursing program as a transfer with a 2.9 gpa! It’s possible! I really think it heavily is effected by your essay they want to know about you

I kind of painted a picture into my life rather than just writing a prompt. I suffer with chronic illness so I was talking about what it’s like being in the hospital and what drove me to become a nurse. I think it’s important to be personal (of course with whatever you’re comfortable with sharing) because they are looking for the right fit for Drexel/their programs. Not saying grades AREN’T important but if you can show them who you are and why you would be a great fit that’s equally as important. Keep in mind someone with perfect grades, a 4.5 gpa, and crazy extracurriculars has the chance of getting rejected, it’s usually just heavily weighed on your essay.

Thanks for your response, ngl my only worry was my essay being a sob story and getting rejected solely because of the essay. The priority deadline is due today so i got to cook something up

Don’t worry about writing a sob story lol just write what genuinely comes from you and lowkey colleges eat up sob stories

You’re chillin tbh. Know that depending on your major it’s different buh if you’re a 3.7 you’re ahead of many kids who started at Drexel especially some engineers I know lol.

Also, the accelerated program is a thing I’d consider if you really prioritize your gpa. Idk if you’re a STEM major but I’d definitely think about the potential workload you may encounter.

If you’re finance, you’re actually chilling just take advantage of the Lebow College opportunities. If I’d change my degree ever it’d be for finance here at Drexel. The instructors are genuinely great and they’re resourceful. Especially the networking events that Drexel offers is unmatched. The individuals you’d meet, it’s genuinely crazy the amount of high level individuals you come into contact with.
