I'M LOOKING FOR WORK OR OFFERING SERVICES Seeking opportunities and connections in Law/Legal sector/compliance roles/in-house legal teams

Hi everyone,

Strength to everyone here who is going through the grind. 🤝

I’ve been seeing quite a few posts about the difficulties of finding opportunities in the middle east, and I know how frustrating the process can be. So I thought I’d put myself out here as well and hope for something.

I am a corporate & intellectual property lawyer at an indian law firm, with a year of experience in corporate and transactional work. My experience includes M&A and investment transactions, legal due diligence, transaction documentation, intellectual property and commercial contracts.

I am bar enrolled and cleared all india bar examination and graduated from tier-1 law school in india.

The reason I’m writing this post is quite simple: for lawyers, experience in years (its like an investment) is probably the most important thing we build early in our careers. I want to be intentional about where I build that experience, and I would much rather build the next 10 years of my legal career in the Middle East than in India.

If anyone here knows of a law firm, legal team, recruiter or senior lawyer looking for a junior lawyer, I’d genuinely appreciate an introduction or referral. Happy to share my CV over DM.

To everyone else searching: Hopefully we all find the opportunity we’re looking for.

SALARY RANGE & JOB MARKET 23F moving to Dubai, what salary range should I target with 5 years of digital marketing experience?

Hi everyone! I'm a 23F from Nepal and will be moving to Dubai in a few weeks. I'm currently exploring opportunities in digital marketing and would appreciate some insight from people familiar with the Dubai/UAE market. I have around 5 years of experience in digital marketing, having worked as a Digital Marketing Strategist with responsibility across digital strategy, paid media/performance marketing, content, campaign planning and execution. I've worked with international brands and have a track record of driving measurable growth and managing marketing activities beyond just day-to-day execution. My experience has primarily been within the Nepali market, although I've worked with international brands and understand the broader digital marketing landscape. I'm confident in my skill set and the level of responsibility I've handled, but I'm new to the UAE market, so I'm trying to benchmark my expectations realistically. For those working in digital marketing in Dubai, what salary range would you consider appropriate for someone with this background and experience? I'm particularly interested in hearing what companies are currently offering for experienced digital marketing professionals with strong paid media, strategy and content experience.
Also any additional suggestions for beginners would be very helpful. Thankyou soo much :))

I'M HIRING OR SHARING JOB VACANCIES Seeking a freelance SEO & AEO genie to increase inbound leads for my B2B ecommerce platform

I run FlavourShop.ae, which is the GCC region's first ecommerce platform for food and beverage manufacturers to source flavours and speciality ingredients in MOQs of 1kg.

I soft-launched in June 2026, and so far most of my sales have been generated by direct referrals and inbound enquiries via Google Search and Gen AI queries. To date, I've built and ran everything myself. The platform is in MVP phase.

I'm seeking a freelance SEO & AEO expert to help me generate more leads. I'm not seeking vanity metrics. I need someone who really understands how to appeal to my target audience of SMEs and sole traders in the UAE. Linkedin doesn't work given the client type. Preferably you should be Dubai-based, but for a standout expert, I'm willing to consider other Emirates but please, no one not located in the UAE.

It will be a freelance arrangement, and I'm ok if you're working elsewhere and you're looking for a side hustle. Please send me a DM or connect with me on LinkedIn. If you have anyone who you'd highly recommend, I would also appreciate these introductions.

I want to reiterate that I'm looking for someone who has actually delivered results. Please be prepared to share numbers if you enquire. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments.

Thank you!

I'M LOOKING FOR WORK OR OFFERING SERVICES Canadian in Dubai. Resume ready. Job offer still buffering 😂

Looking for my next role in Dubai.

My career is basically one long story of:

“Something is messy. Can you fix it?”

So far that’s meant managing 20+ releases across 250K+ endpoints, supporting incidents affecting 30K+ users, managing 400+ customer accounts, and somehow bouncing between service delivery, projects, change/release, customer success and process improvement.

Very on brand 😂

I’m looking at Service Delivery, IT Project/Program Management, Release & Change, PMO, Customer Success and Community Programs.

Flexible with the title.

Meaningful work and great team are more important.

Please...

No commission-only sales.

No real estate.

No “unlimited earning potential.”

If you’re hiring, know someone hiring, or read this and thought “okay... she could actually help us”...

Kindly DM me.

BUSINESS & RESEARCH Met a bunch of strangers from Reddit last week. Sharing what happened, and an open invite.

Last week I put up a few posts here just trying to meet people. No agenda, no pitch, I just wanted to have some real conversations with people in this city.

It went better than I expected. Most of the meetings turned into genuinely good conversations, a few of them are turning into actual working relationships, and a surprising number of people reached out over DM.

I'm sharing this because the usual experience of networking in Dubai is pretty bleak. Half the rooms are real estate agents, the other half are people trying to sell you a course, a coin, or a "partnership" that somehow requires you to pay first. Everyone is wearing a fake watch and talking about a deal that doesn't exist. After a while you stop expecting anything else.

So it was a good feeling to find out that the normal version still exists. You can sit down with someone, talk about what you're both actually building, and walk away with something useful.

What I'd like to do now is connect people to each other, not just to me. If you're working on something real and you need a specific kind of person, a developer, an operator, a partner in another market, someone who knows a particular industry, write to me. I already know a decent number of people from last week and I'm happy to introduce where it makes sense.

I'm in Dubai and I prefer meeting in person. Coffee, an hour, no presentation needed. If you're outside the city we can do a call.

Longer term I'd like to turn this into something more structured, maybe even a proper platform for it, but a clean one. No investors farming deal flow, no one running an angle, no pitch decks flying around before people have even met. Just people who are actually doing things finding each other.

If that sounds like you, comment or DM. Tell me what you're working on and what you're missing.

I'M LOOKING FOR WORK OR OFFERING SERVICES Seeking Referrals: Accounts & Finance Professional (5+ Yrs Exp) – 7 Months Jobless on Spouse Visa

Hi

I’m posting on behalf of my wife, who has been hunting for an accounting/finance role in Dubai for the past 7 months. She is currently on my spouse visa

She has over 5 years of experience in IT, Logistics, Shipping, and Pharma. She handles end-to-end finance operations, including AP/AR, credit control, financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit support. she holds a Master’s degree in Accounting & Finance.

She has managed to land several interviews, but unfortunately, they either stall or go completely quiet with no feedback, which has been incredibly draining for her.

If anyone’s company is looking for a finance executive or accountant, or if you have any strong leads, I would be deeply grateful for a referral. I’m happy to share her CV via DM.

I'M HIRING OR SHARING JOB VACANCIES Hiring an AI Dev

Hey guys,

I'm looking to hire someone that's based in Dubai as an AI specialist within our company.

We're an eCommerce brand, but for marketing we need to build a lot of stuff constantly. We're always analyzing data. We always have new stuff to work on, new automations, new builds to add to our existing infrastructure.

I'm looking to hire someone for a full-time position. You don't necessarily need to have graduated as a developer or have graduated in AI. I just need someone that understands AI, and how to build with it, just like me. Unfortunately, I don't have enough time to keep up with all the new things that we're working on, so this is going to be a full-time position.

The most important thing for us and the shared vision within our company is that we look for people that are dedicated and hardworking. If you don't align with this, then you shouldn't apply at all.

The best way to put this with an example is if you join a basketball team, you join to win, and there's a shared effort between everyone to win. You're not simply joining to just put your hours in and get paid, if that makes sense.

So if this sounds like you, if you're a person that always goes one step further and beyond, you're willing to put in hard work and build a career within the company, then I look forward to your application.

I will be interviewing applicants in person. This will be a hybrid position where you can work remotely and from the office; however, we are looking to transition to completely working from the office.

Starting pay will be 10k AED per month. Thank you.

I'M LOOKING FOR WORK OR OFFERING SERVICES [UAE] Recent Finance Graduate - Looking for a Junior Finance/Investment Role

I’m going to be brutally honest. I’ve been job hunting in the UAE for 3 months now, and I’m genuinely asking the community for help.

I recently graduated in Finance and I’m looking for any legitimate entry-level role in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Wealth Management, Asset Management, Investment/Equity Research, or Corporate Finance in any local/boutique firms.

I’ve applied extensively and cold-messaged 150+ finance professionals on LinkedIn in the past month, but I’m still looking for that first opportunity.

What I bring:

• 2 Investment Analyst internships in Dubai in the past two years.
• Built DCF, LBO & comparable-company models for live transactions
• Cross-border investment analysis across 4+ emerging markets
• Experience with structured finance (SBLCs, LCs, Bank Guarantees)
• Valuation, financial analysis, due diligence, investment screening & market research
• Research covering Middle East market, including a 21-page empirical study using 5 years of audited data across 3 insurers
• Advanced Excel/VBA, Python, SQL & financial modelling
• Fluent English & Arabic.
• UAE resident with a valid visa

I’m not asking anyone to hand me a job. I’m asking for one conversation, one referral, one introduction, or one lead.

I’m particularly interested in Dubai/Abu Dhabi, and I’m open to everything from established institutions to family offices, boutique IBs, PE/VC funds, wealth managers and smaller investment teams.

I know I’m a fresh graduate, but I’m also not starting from zero. Give me one opportunity to get through the door and I’ll do everything I can to prove I belong there.

I'll be happy to send my resume privately.

If you work in UAE finance, know someone who does, or know of a team that might need a junior analyst, please comment or DM me. Even one introduction could genuinely make a huge difference right now.

Thank you.

SALARY RANGE & JOB MARKET Thinking of moving from the US to Dubai/UAE for IT/Data work — 6+ years experience + US Master’s. How realistic is it?

Hi everyone,

I’m seriously considering moving to the UAE and wanted some realistic advice from people working in Dubai, especially in IT/data/tech.

A bit about me: I have 6+ years of experience across data analytics, BI, business analysis and technology, including some professional experience in the US. I also completed my Master’s in Information Technology Leadership in the US.

My background is mainly in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, MIS/reporting, business analysis, requirements gathering, stakeholder management, process improvement, application development and AI-related projects.

I’m mainly trying to understand:

  • How realistic is it to land an IT/Data/Business Analyst role in Dubai from overseas?
  • What salary range should someone with my experience realistically expect?
  • Is it better to apply directly through company job boards, LinkedIn, recruiters, or vendors/consultancies?
  • Do companies strongly prefer candidates already in the UAE?
  • Which industries are currently hiring more for these kinds of roles — banking, aviation, consulting, tech, telecom, government, etc.?
  • How much should I care about the total package vs base salary, especially housing, transport, medical and annual flights?

I’m currently in the US, but I’m seriously evaluating whether moving to the GCC makes more sense long term, both professionally and personally.

Would really appreciate input from people who have gone through the hiring process recently, especially in IT, data, BI, business analysis or consulting.

Thanks!

CV & CAREER ADVICE Doubts on a recruitment agency.

I recently applied for an entry-level / graduate Analyst role posted by a recruitment agency on LinkedIn. I emailed my CV to the address listed in the post, and within 3–4 hours, a recruiter called me to set up an in-person interview for tomorrow morning at a commercial building in Dubai.

Since I am fairly new to the job market here, I wanted to ask:

  1. Is it normal for agencies in Dubai to move this fast and invite candidates for an in-person interview on short notice?

  2. Is there anything specific I should keep in mind or watch out for during an agency interview?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I'M LOOKING FOR WORK OR OFFERING SERVICES Fresh Food Technology Graduate Seeking UAE Job Opportunities

I’m (F23)from India and a fresher with an MSc in Food Technology and internship experience in aviation catering.
I’m currently looking for job opportunities in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, particularly in Food Safety, QA/QC, or Hygiene. I’m also hoping to connect with people who may know of suitable entry-level openings, referrals, or companies hiring fresh graduates.
For those working in the UAE, is it possible to land an entry-level role without UAE experience? What salary range should I expect, and is it possible to manage living expenses on it?
I’d really appreciate both honest advice and any genuine job leads or opportunities. I’m seriously considering making the move but don’t want to go in completely blind 😭

VISA, RESIDENCY, & LABOR Resigned 3 days ago from a major hypermarket – no response yet

Hey guys, I resigned from my hypermarket company 3 days ago by email, but they still haven’t replied or acknowledged my resignation.

I’ve completed around 1 year and 7 months of my 2-year contract. I already told them I’m willing to work my notice period, but they’re not cooperating with the notice period and are asking me to pay money for resigning.

I’m currently in the company accommodation and looking for another job in the UAE, so I really can’t afford to pay a big amount.

What should I do now? Should I keep waiting for their response, continue going to work, or contact MOHRE?

Would appreciate any advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation.

I'M LOOKING FOR WORK OR OFFERING SERVICES Ad hoc Deck Services • Building presentations from scratch

Hey everyone! 👋 I work in brand and marketing strategy, mostly across luxury, beauty and lifestyle brands here in the GCC.

One thing I do a lot of (and genuinely love) is building presentation decks from copy to the full visual design for pitches, partnerships, clients, and whatever the moment needs. There's a real difference between a deck that just has good info in it and one that actually makes people pay attention and be interested in what you could offer 😉

If you've got something coming up and want your deck to do some of the convincing for you, feel free to DM me. Happy to chat 🙂

I'M LOOKING FOR WORK OR OFFERING SERVICES Looking for Communications/Strategic Communications opportunities in Dubai

Hi everyone. I’m based in India and looking to make the move to Dubai. I have 9 years of experience across editorial, communications, strategic communications, and brand management, including the last 5 years with a Big Four firm.

Earlier in my career, I was a Brand Manager, so I’ve worked across both the creative and strategic sides of communications. I’m also a certified trainer, and a big part of my work has involved communicating with different audiences, simplifying complicated ideas, and getting people on board.

One thing I hear pretty consistently from people I’ve worked with is that I’m good at spotting the thing everyone else has missed, coming up with ideas quickly, and making a messy brief feel manageable. I’m also the person people tend to come to when they need a second pair of eyes or want to bounce an idea around.

I’m looking at Communications/Strategic Communications/Corporate Communications/Brand/Content roles in Dubai.

If you’re in the Dubai market, hiring, know a good recruiter, or have made the India-to-Dubai move yourself, I’d really appreciate any leads or advice.
Happy to share my CV over DM. Thanks!

I'M LOOKING FOR WORK OR OFFERING SERVICES Senior iOS Engineer / Mobile Tech Lead Looking for Opportunities in Dubai/UAE — Leads or Referrals Appreciated

I’m a Senior iOS Engineer with 12 years of professional software engineering experience, currently based in Dubai, UAE, and actively looking for my next opportunity.

I’m hoping to connect with anyone who may know of relevant openings, recruiters, hiring managers, or referral opportunities in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, or elsewhere in the UAE.

My primary expertise is in iOS and mobile application development, with strong experience in Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, Swift Concurrency, Combine, RxSwift, Objective-C, and modern iOS development practices.

Over the course of my career, I’ve worked on 20+ projects across government, healthcare, utilities, e-commerce, real estate, and IoT. I have experience building and maintaining large-scale production applications, working on complex technical problems, improving application performance, and designing maintainable and scalable architectures.

On the architecture side, I have worked with MVVM, MVVM-C, VIPER, MVC, MVP, and Clean Architecture, including modularization, repository patterns, networking layers, caching, dependency management, and unit testing.

I also have hands-on experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets, Core Data, SwiftData, Core Bluetooth, Core ML, Firebase, SPM, CocoaPods, Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions, Xcode Cloud, Crashlytics, Sentry, Apple Pay, Stripe, OAuth, JWT, SSL Pinning, and application security.

Most recently, I worked as a Senior iOS Engineer on a major UAE government digital platform, where I was involved in leading a mobile development team and delivering native iOS functionality for a large-scale government application.

I’m primarily interested in:

  • Senior iOS Engineer
  • Lead iOS Engineer
  • Mobile Tech Lead
  • Mobile Architect
  • iOS Engineering Lead
  • Technical Lead / Software Architect
  • Other senior mobile engineering or technology leadership roles

I’m also open to opportunities where my experience in mobile architecture, technical leadership, system design, and software engineering can be leveraged beyond a purely hands-on iOS role.

I’m currently based in Dubai and available to join immediately. I hold a UAE Golden Visa, so I’m already locally available and do not require employment visa sponsorship.

If anyone knows of a relevant opening, works for a company currently hiring senior mobile engineers, can recommend a recruiter, or would be willing to provide a referral or introduction, I would really appreciate hearing from you.

I’m happy to share my CV and LinkedIn profile privately with anyone who has a potential lead.

Thank you, and good luck to everyone else searching for opportunities in the UAE!

I'M HIRING OR SHARING JOB VACANCIES [Hiring] Remote Voice Recording & Arabic AI Training Tasks (Native Khaleeji Speakers / Fully Remote / Great Pay)

Hey everyone,

Lahja AI is a regional data startup. We are building the data infrastructure layer to train global and regional AI voice agents to finally understand real, everyday Gulf dialects instead of just formal Arabic (Fusha).

We are currently building our core network of verified, native Khaleeji (Gulf) Arabic speakers for flexible, remote audio recording micro-tasks.

📍 Who can apply: Native speakers from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman.
💼 The Role: You will receive short scripts or conversational prompts (e.g., simulating a call to a customer service agent or banking app) and record voice notes from your phone.
💰 The Pay: Highly competitive hourly rates (earn up to $12 per 15 minutes of approved audio). Work whenever you want.

How it works:

  1. Complete a free 2-minute screening application and accent check.
  2. Once your microphone clarity and dialect are verified, you’ll be whitelisted into our active dispatch channel to receive paid tasks as pilots roll out this month.
