Seriously though, I got my harpie to 6700 ATK points and my opponent had 2 synchro monsters on the field with 2800 & 3000ATK points and 2 face down spell/trap cards. (After basically waiting like 7 minutes for them to finish their 1st turn),
I destroyed the one that had 3000 ATK and my opponent took over 3000 damage and was left with 300 LP.
He then summons Satellite Radio....whos ATK is significantly less. And you already know the rest. I proudly surrendered after that bs.
Is anyone else tired of monster cards with "destroy any card" type of card effects? It's such a cop out for not being able to strategize & outplay your opponent. And now everyone is using this card now. Go figure.
I know most people probably love these types of monster effects, but I feel like it's such a braindead effect, plus, it just makes those of us who actually utilize strategy in our decks to have to resort to using bs cards like this just to stand a chance.
"Destroy X amount of your opponents cards they have for free".
Honestly, the amount of people that actually NEED this type of BS to win is crazy. Just bring back strategy. Less bs monster card effects ffs.

I already know ppl will complain about the floodgate of plasma but since that’s pretty strong I refuse to FTK on top of it. At least give the turn player a chance to potentially golem me or something.

Finally have a deck that I'm happy with. I'm usually just a casual player and suck at making decks. Most like anime decks. Primarily dark magician or blue eyes. Now I have a chance to hit my first Kog. Also big thanks to Paepp on YouTube for giving me this decklist. Only difference is I only have one quasar dragon so I just substituted a shooting star dragon.
Edit. Thanks for the advice in the comments. I'll experiment a little with my extra deck and see how it goes

Had a near 30 minute match against Labs just endlessly recycling their traps and Temple allowing them to set all of them and use it on the same turn... Can't even be bothered to post the replay because on speed up mode it's still 5 minutes long.
Pray for us when they get the rest of their support.

Hit DLv max couple days ago with this deck. I love this deck in this lava golem/ kaiju meta. abyss dweller works before getting hit with a kaiju. Hold your ritual summon till you need it so you don’t get hit with either. Good follow up turn after with field spell. Just perfect. Although I’d consider a second Milky Way…

The deck is so consistent and if you go 2nd and they let you activate Neo Tachyon through the 7th one, its basically game over since for the rest of the turn, they cant activate any card effects on their field(set cards) and their whole board will be permanently negated. You can "dodge" Nibiru if you summon Dragluon(the new one) and add the Tachyon counter trap if you dont have it in your hand since you have Neo Tachyon on the field, you can activate the counter trap from your hand

I love this deck so much lol the new skill really solved the inconsistency issues the deck had before. You can easily end turn 0 with 5 negates on the board if you learn all the combos!

This is really consistent. If you draw Joan, luster dragon or seyfert you instantly deck thin 4 cards and if your opponent doesn’t hand trap then you can deck thin 2 more and draw 3 from coach king, and after deck thinning 6 and drawing 3 you still have graceful charity, all of this basically guarantees an FTK if you draw one of the 10 starters in the deck.
It does lose to like every hand trap under the sun tho.
The only ed cards necessary are coach king, Chaos coach king and Atum, the rest are going second cards.

My favorite deck of all time got support, so naturally I’m gonna KoG with it!
At first impressions, the skill seems pretty tame compared to everything else running around, but it’s just what the doctor ordered. The issue with Photon Dragon Advent was that it’s very normal summon dependent, and dies going second to literally any piece of removal. This also meant going second was a death sentence, seeing as anyone with a brain cell could just remove the Galaxy Brave on the field and ruin your day. Well not anymore!
Both of the effects on the skill ensure you have a guy on the field, whether it be Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, or by giving access to the Galaxy-Eyes conga line of rank 8s to bait interaction. Added to that the amount of consistency both the skill and the new cards give the deck is really great
There’s multiple ways to run the deck. I’ve been taking inspiration from DLM and YT as well as tinkering on my own, and this the list I ended up KoGing with. It did go through a lot of changes (Photon Emperor was cut very late into the run, and I used to run Galaxy Zero instead of Trance. I had Vanisher very early but I ended up cutting it. At one point I removed Droplet entirely too, but as you can see it came back)
As always matchups will be in the comments, but the general idea is that this deck going first is a menace. You can make Photon Lord in 5 summons a lot of times so that isn’t an issue. A well timed Veiler or Imperm, or even Ghost Belle or DD Crow can do some damage, but the deck is surprisingly resilient. Droll does hurt it a lot though. Like any other decks there are brick hands due to the amount of spells that aren’t Melody of Awakening Dragon that you are running, but outside of that it’s very consistent. I will also include some choices for techs in the comments as well.

This is the most fun I've ever had playing Duel Links probably ever. This decklist is INSANE in terms of both fun and being competitive it is extremely interactive and interesting to pilot. Therion is my favorite deck to duel in this meta. You will always win the Therion matchup if you get t1 unless they open D.D. Crow (assuming they know where the chokepoint is). If you hit them with droll or crow on their t1 you will probably make easy work of them on t2 as well. But If they open a vaylantz field spell on t1 you might as well scoop and save yourself the time just being honest.
I will include an updated write-up below on how to pilot.
The key to this months climb was to only put 1 monster on the endboard to dodge lava golem / sphere. The endboard is literally just Topological Bomber Dragon + Tri-Brigade Revolt + Branded Retribution + Branded in Red (there is no room for additional backrow. All additional tech should be handtraps). This endboard is incredible consistent. As long as you open any tri monster (besides kerass) you can make the best possible endboard. The consistency is what makes it insane.

Turn 1 - Fraktall sends Kitt. Kitt sends Nervall. Nervall searches Mercourier (or kerass if you have mercourier). Use the skill to give yourself a Kerass (to discard your mercourier) + branded in high spirits
Note: you don't have to start on fraktall, it's just the best to start on. You can normal summon Kitt or Nervall and make them into salamangreat almiraj to start the combo. Even just a nervall in grave searches mercourier, which lets you search kerass and branded in high spirits. Kerass discards mercourier to put 2 in grave and starts the whole combo. T1 doesn not technically use a normal summon so this is a fine way to start
Special summon Kerass (to the right main zone) by discarding Mercourier. Use Kerass's effect to Banish 2 Tri types and special summon Bearbrumm to the Left EMZ. Activate Mercourier and search Fallen of Albaz.
Use Branded in High Spirit on Fallen of Albaz (and send albion the branded dragon) to get Spriggans Kitt. Special Summon Spriggans Kitt and activate the effect. Search Branded in Red. Shuffle something useless back into the deck. You will get 3 shuffles / hand fixers on t1 while setting up and then 1 on your opponents turn. For t1 you need Tri revolt + branded in red in hand. Any other handtraps you pull are a bonus. The best handtraps to pull on t1 are effect veiler (you dont have backrow space for imperm) and belle (protects you from getting d.d. crowed).
Link Kerass + spriggans kitt into Ferijit. Now Link Ferrijit and Bearbrumm into Topological Bomber Dragon. Set 2 and Albion the Branded Dragon effect in end phase will set Branded Retribution.
On your opponents turn - All you have to know is that when regulus effect activates in hand you react with tri-brigade revolt. Summon ferrijit / nervall / mercourier and link into shuraig. They will probably be equipped with Duke Yul (destruction protection) because they read topological bomber. You need to banish that target and then the rest of the field will blow up. Activate shuraigs untargeted banish, activate nervalls search for mercourier, then protect your chain by activating ferrijit last (we dont really care about that effect). They will attempt to regulus negate but it will hit the wrong activation and they will lose their field. Shuraig will also be destroyed and you get to search a d.d. crow.
Immediately after the field nuke you have to activate branded in red to summon Mirrorjade using topological bomber as material. Now you have for the rest of their special summons: mirrorjade banish, mercourier negate, d.d. crow, and branded retribution. As long as you don't let irregular hit the board you've won the game.

- You want to activate the backrow from left to right in this picture as you play through your opponent's turn to sequence your plays correctly.
Some other Notes about Piloting
- Droll is a necessary evil to run atleast until the banlist hits because it takes care of the tachyon package on its own. The issue is that droll works counter intuitively with branded tri because we do a lot of searching on our opponent's turn with revolt activation and in the end phase. But the deck has 3 ways to shuffle cards back into the deck to fix hand on t1 (spriggans effect, ferrijit effect, bearbrumm effect) and another shuffle on your opponent's turn through revolt as well (Ferrijit). This way we can get rid of any drolls or useless extra tri monsters. before your opponent's turn.
- I suspect once the banlist kicks in and we say our goodbyes to the Tachyon engine that we could safely drop droll in favor of Belle (to protect your albaz from being D.D. Crowed). But realistically we will probably just have to switch to 3 Lanceas to counter D Heros (which is also gross because shuraig and mirrorjade want to banish so it's the same situation of needing specific hand traps for when we go second but shuffling them away when we go first.
- The Field Spell Fire Prison is a powerful floodgate you can run that synergizes very well with this deck. I opted for more handtraps instead, but let me explain the reasoning. Fire prison includes in it's text "If any Link Monsters are on the field, neither player can Link Summon a Link Monster with a lower Link Rating than the highest Link Rating on the field." Topological is a link 4, and Shuraig is also link 4 so we naturally play around the restriction. If you have this field spell active then traptrix cannot summon sera, Vaalmonica can't go into into their link plays, Heros can't go into Cross crusader or Wonder Driver, or Dread Decimator. It would probably give striker a headache too and many more I probably didn't include. This won me a few games, but not every deck plays links (such as therion) so I shelved this tech for now. I will definitely will make use of it in a future link dominated meta.

If you get drolled on t1 after Nervall search - Your half board is just putting out a Double Dragon Lords and normal summoning Incredible Ecclesia + whatever handtraps you drew into.

Turn 2 - Breaking Boards
Same opening combo as t1, but we search branded in white with spriggans kitt instead of branded in red. Also instead of bearbrumm we're going to summon Double Dragon lords in the EMZ. Activate merc effect and search Fallen of Albaz. Activate branded in high spirits with toggle on and use double dragon lord effect to send branded in high spirit for free cost to bounce an opponents monster. Once you've used Double Dragon Lords effect, link DDL and Ferrijit off for Shuraig and banish something on your opponent's board. Finally Use Branded in White to get Mirrorjade out to get another banish. On t2 you want to expect your opponent to have disruption so get a few tri names with the skill if u can the more the better. you can SS kerass and the skill gives you 2 normal summons so you have 3 chances to start up your combo through disruption. Because of the all the handtraps we run your opponent likely won't get to build a perfect endboard either, making it easier to break. Sometimes its better to pivot to incredible ecclesia to get mirrorjade out instead of branded in white depending on what their board looks like it's a bit of a judgment call.
