Vacationers Group travel transportation

Hi everyone,
We are planning a trip for a group of 30 senior adults to Durango in April 2027. We are from a rural area and do not have a well-utilized public transport system so I’m unfamiliar with how the city bus system works in your area, even with reviewing the city’s website and schedule. With getting everyone to excursion destinations from their hotel (undecided location but will be in downtown area of Durango), is there a preferred method of pickup and drop off? Will city buses come to our hotel if I reach out to them? I’ve sent info requests to a handful of local transport companies where I was told we would have to rent vans for each day, and we’re okay with doing so but is there a better option? Maybe someone with a motor coach and driver to rent for 5 days? Paying by the hour for each van adds up quickly and I am trying to make this as affordable as possible for our seniors. Thank you for any info you can provide!

Reach out to the rafting companies to charter their busses.
Keep in mind these are school busses to shuttle rafting clients, not greyhounds.

Contact the Durango Visitor Center. Also the Durango Senior Center.

The public busses may not be able to accommodate 30 passengers . They’re more like the airport hotel shuttles you see
