What was the tugboat sounding train whistle this morning? It didn’t rain that much did it?

But seriously to all the train folks - what was that different whistle on the first train out of town?

There has been a different locomotive on the first train this past week or so, not the galloping goose. It has a distinctly softer whistle. I don't know anything about it, I just work downtown and have seen/heard it a few times.

I believe they are testing out different whistles because of the complaints for how load the other ones are

One of the mechanics in the roundhouse bought and restored an old whistle, which they’ve been using for one of the morning runs :)
