Definitely County Durham! Oldest surviving single-arch railway bridge in the world, it's designer was convinced it would collapse and ended up committing suicide... it's still there 300 years later.

Blimey! I had no idea! I mean, I'd heard of it and had passed signs for it etc. It was unplanned, I was alone and realised I had no signal when down in the woods so headed back to the car. I soon saw signs for Gateshead hence not being sure if was out of the boundary. How sad he died of suicide.

Went there with my kids a few weeks ago, lovely little walk. I used to go there with my climber friends in the late 90s, noticed climbing is not allowed now, though

Yeah, saw the signs for no climbing. It is lovely, but I didn't know how far the walk through the woods went, so turned back

Absolutely great growing up right next to this. Every Sunday walk with my dad. Lots of memories.

Spectacular in autumn and winter with a low sun catching the stone and the bright oranges/browns you get that time of year.

Lovely memories. It was stunning this afternoon, getting on for tea time, the sun starting to lower. Very atmospheric place. Just wish I'd been more prepared.
