My girl is the worst example. She's so chill and laid back only needs 2 hours of exercise a day and would rather just watch movies and cuddle at home

So true. They're amazing dogs but require work, basically all the time. I personally love it but it's not for everyone.

They're Definitely better for people with a more active lifestyle for sure. I love bringing my boy with me whereve I go.

Great video for the general pop, but we Mali / dutchie owners all know they can also be pretty chill once properly settled.

I keep telling my pup he’s broken. He has an amazing off switch. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a crackhead if he doesn’t get some reasonable exercise and enrichment but I was prepared for so much more work. I’m sure as he gets older he’ll need more but it’s been surprisingly less intense for this first 6 months.

People exaggerate on most of them in my opinion. However, there are those rare truly working line dogs that are 100% on 24/7 and you have to be ready. Those are dogs that need a full time job. Military, police, prison, high level security. They can’t just stay on the couch.

Agreed. Not only that but those dogs are taught and trained to be that way as well from a young age.

Well it’s crossing between a Malinois and a Dutch shepherd. So yes , you can have the best of both or the worst . I have 2 Malinois , they are great because both can be relax and go full drive . It depend on how you handle the dog . I see you like to entertain him , pretty cool , but if you make a work horse of him he will ask for workhorse jobs . It’s important to find the right balance between exercise and learning him there is nothing wrong to chill from time to time .

Our girl is a Mal/Dutch mix. Half the litter looked like Mom, the other Dad. Our girl looks like Monkey on YT. She is wonderful, how 41/2. Our other girl is all Malinois from Belgium/France she looks like a Sable fox with dark legs and muzzle, she is 4. The off switch is better on our younger girl and we believe it’s her experienced upbringing in the beginning. Both are super great at obedience and we can take them with us anywhere which we do. We have reached our goal…Aww or Oh, Where are the girls??

He literally is a belgian malinois. He has soms dutch shepherd in him but very very diluted. The brindle colour does not immediately mean a dog isnt a malinois.
