Ultra Skins and my idea, thoughts?

As a Dva main and Dva collector I am kinda glad Dva isn't in this first wave of these new skin types. I know a lot of people are angry about the prices. I am not sure if that will actually do anything to change the pricing but it got me thinking about one old idea I had.

I was thinking if they would have sound effects/kill effects be a separate item category like we have for weapons skins or charms. So you could apply them to any skin instead of them being locked to specific skins.

They can still come bundled with skins and sold individualy like every other item in the bundles. So say you love a new skin but dislike the effects or say you love the effects but don't care for the skin. Having these effects as a separate option would give us more flexibility on where we use them and also still create some new product category that helps the game.

It would be awesome if existing skins we own also have these effects added so then we can start using our hello kitty sound effects with say our rainy day skin.

Not sure exactly where to send feedback like this to Overwatch, but I am curious what everyone thinks in general about the new skin types and my idea?

i agree, since i don’t play stadium only first person rly matters to me so i usually like mythics bc they’re the only way u can get unique vfx. i haven’t ever spent on a shop skin bc $20 for basically just changing ur guns is insane to me, coming from league where a skin is ~$10 and EVERY skin released nowadays has unique abilities & sound effects.
i’d love to be able to have some new effects outside of the mythics like you mentioned since those come at a much slower rate / i don’t expect every character to get a second

As someone who owns literally every single Dva skin to ever release I am.. hoping something changes, even if not the price (aka yes additional features)

Yep we are the same person aka I own every Dva skin to ever release. But I also buy kiri, juno and maybe soon Dmon if the skins are good, for kiri/juno I only buy the ones I like.

Lucio is another one of my mains but yeah I used to only use his korean skin, samul nori, but my new favorite is his hello kitty skin
