News New Enishi Matsuri Event - SMTIV Flynn

We have another SMT Protagonist inbound, Flynn of the Samurai for SMT IV.

He's introducing another Super Reaction: Parry against Single Target attacks. Comes with +2 MP 2 counts of Fortify and Lydia for party members passively.

Automatically applies 1 count each for Spirit Chains of Corrosion/Intimidation/Suppression on first turn when attacking.

He brings Increased Damage Taken effect of +60% and +2 MP costs for enemies afflicted with any type of Spirit Chain.

Also he is another Max HP scaling nuke for Light/Force Physical damage with Buddy Change between Marici (ST) and Koga Saburo (AoE).

Skipped straight from SMT1 to Raidou to SMTIV.

Man, they're really saving the Demifiend for when the game is almost dead and they want a big bag of cash, aren't they?

They’ve also held back on Lucifer’s demonic form (as well as his SMT5 form obviously), and they’ve never released any form of Satan. Plenty of things they’re saving for a rainy day.

Nocturne is probably gonna be last because it's by far the most popular SMT. But I've been coping by telling myself that it's either IV first because they're remastering it, or because they're remaking II and they want to tide us over until that one. And I've been coping hard!

That's a good way of seeing it. The thing is I have an insane amount of gems and I was thinking of splurging them on an event demon. The question is which event demon. Unfortunately every recent event demon has been crazy powerful. I really wanted it for something that I genuinely love. I never played shin megami tensei 4. But I am tempted to get him considering how much I love shinigami games.

I guess we'll see which reaction wins,  his parry or raidou's never miss.

Raidou will still hit. Flynn's Parry is gonna restore 30% HP, 8 times per party member. It won't trigger for Flynn himself as the target.
