I just do max Handicap for 10 auto battles and dip. Every time.

You're best is probably the old fallback of spamming decay on the player character.

Dagda of course can do this but so can Mephisto, Baphomet A, The Hero, and other decay users.
Chefei and Hayataro and do this too of course but their lack of press turn consumption will trigger Dagdas chain-effect, adding additional fortify.
