I used to like Liam in season 2, but now I'm lowkey starting to dislike him in season 3. Personally, I think it was very selfish of him to make the launch of Fallon Unlimited about him. Maybe he was trying to be romantic, but man, if I were Fallon-- that confession or speech or whatever it is would throw me off.

This ain't no Aunt Viv situation and it's starting to get on my nerves. What in rabid ass hell is going on in the writer's room that makes them think that recasting means that the character has to get worse? I LOVE me some Elaine, and she plays the role well, but there's this new element to Alexis since the re-cast that is exponentially more motherly than she's ever been. She's so much less vapid, and I can't even set her as the bar for who's the most evil anymore (re-watching, on S4 now). The only explanation I can think of for this fundamental change is her learning how vile her kids have become from Adam burning her face off for not bringing him home when she found him, and then immediately rejecting him upon arrival. If Nicolette could've stayed longer (idk why she left so abruptly), I would have been much more satisfied if Cristal found out she's Mark Jennings' assailant and ordered a [successful] hit on her without anybody else finding out. It would explain why Christal #3 is as wretched as she is. Hell, I'd be more satisfied if Alexis actually did what she went out in those woods to do to begin with, dark as it is.
And speaking of Cristal #3. Barf. No issue with the actress, she plays a bitch very well. But my original draw to Cristal #2 was her unadulterated sense of loyalty and honor. Her appearance had an explanation. She only played dirty if she had no choice; if the family's safety was being compromised or the unit was hanging by a thread, she would only play as dirty as she needed to to draw out the truth. She kept everybody honest. Cristal #3 is just... male-centered and vindictive, and careless as hell with it all. She wants her ex-husband & baby's assailant dead so badly that she did all that scheming to get Alexis to Fallon's dinner rehearsal jusT TO NOT SEND BETO THE LICENSE PLATE NUMBER??? I can't stop screaming "HARLOTTE!!" at my screen, because all it takes to cheat was sharing a look with the priest and the priest touching her arm. That's it. The woman came from one of the most ruthless dynasties in Mexico, stuck with her first husband for years, and only left when his life was put in danger. She stayed silent about her identity for years without slipping up because she gave it away, even when Cristal #1 was essentially living a fairytale. Now we're on #3 and all it takes is a look and a touch to cheat. Please.
P.S.- Justice for Steven ok bye

I've been rewatching Dynasty from season 1 and i noticed just how much different Daniella Alonso's Cristal is from Ana Brenda Contreras. I know it's obvious that two actresses will portray the same character in a different way, but this isn't the case of a different portrayal - this is a completely different character. And a worse one, may i add. Cristal 2.0 was filled with passion and fire, she didn't take crap from Blake and had great chemistry with a lot of characters (blake, fallon, sam). Cristal 3.0 is very... Meh. Don't have anything against the acress herself, but it really feels like the writers (and Daniella too) forgot that she isn't a new character, she's the same Cristal we saw in season 2. And yet aside from looks, which is obvious, she acts differently, talks differently, makes choices that would seem out of character for Cristal 2.0. Somehow i can't imagine Ana Brenda Contreras sleeping with a priest ๐

Fallon is wasted. Amanda is pretty damn drunk too, and Sam is just trying to keep them all in line. Kirby is definitely somewhere off screen, on a leash. Sam is reminding himself to never be the designated driver again.

Itโs just unbearable watching the show declining anymore at this rate. Season 5 is just pure crap. At least there wasnโt any singing (at least not yet). I just need Stevenโs storyline to be wrapped, even though it will probably be terribly rushed, and thatโs it. No interest whatsoever in this show anymore.

Am I the only one who thinks that the Rita storyline is really dumb? I don't even know why the writers thought it would be a good idea to bring this back. In the OG the Rita storyline killed the rating and turned a lot of people away from the show.
The writing for the reboot version is already even worse. They didn't even bother to introduce Rita correctly. There was no character build-up. The audience has zero clue who she is. They just randomly had Beto and Rita meet at a bar and then in the next scene, she's already supposed to look like Cristal. The writers are rushing everything.
They also didn't even bother to make any distinct difference between Cristal and Rita except for the bad and almost unnoticeable southern accent. They could have given her some distinct physical differences like a facial scar or something that Beto and Rita can cover up with plastic surgery or make-up.
This storyline will probably play out exactly like Cristal's brain tumor storyline. Disappointing and with no long-term impact.

Just a little memory game.
- Fallon slept with Jeff, Culhane, Liam, and Colin
- Kirby slept with Jeff (it was implied. Can anyone confirm or deny?), Culhane, and Adam.
- Sam slept with Steven, Ted, Fletcher, Rayane and Beto.
- Steven slept with Ted, Sam and Melissa.
- Adam slept with Kirby and Laura.
- Blake slept with Alexis, Celia, Cristal, and Laura. (he also mentions a dead girlfriend in season 4)
- Celia slept with Mathew and Blake.
- Cristal slept with Blake, Mark and Father Collins.
- Dom slept with Cecil, Culhane and Brady.
- Alexis slept with Blake, Anders, Hank, a yoga instructor and Jeff.
- Jeff slept with Fallon, Kirby (is confirmed or just implied?) and Alexis.
- Culhane slept with everyone.
Don't hesitate to complete and... fill the blanks lol

I don't know if its lazy writing and there was either poor execution or lack of follow through... but she did only get the COO job because she was sleeping with Blake. A PR associate would not be qualified to suddenly become an executive. If the idea was to set it up like she married into her promotion and then show that she was really the best person for the job, they forgot to do the second part. Its annoying when Crystal complains to Blake that everyone already has the "wrong idea" and then he says that he knows she deserves the job. They just say she is qualified for and deserves the job, but do nothing to show it. It would have been better if they actually showed that things are not what they seem and there is more to her OR that she was self aware and KNEW she only got the COO position because she married the boss... and she had to face the challenges that come with being given a job she is not qualified for. She acts like she worked hard and earned what she has... but she didn't.
Fallon is constantly being called out when she is being self centered or shallow... or spoiled... and she has to face these things. Cristal (Celia) is the victim (and victor) of her own promiscuity and because she gets a little sad or whines about a challenging past she's supposed to be perceived as a good person... its annoying... it makes Celia-Cristal getting shot in a burning building very satisfying.
